I’ve done three consecutive orders with EOC in the span of perhaps 16 months, and they have all been exceptional. Initially, I ordered Acme mugs (14 oz) to upgrade from my decidedly pedestrian IKEA mugs that were lessening in number and were also no longer offered for sale. I am glad I went up the ladder to the much higher quality ACME mugs and I appreciate them every time I have another cuppa… better living, you know. I ordered another set of different-styled 14oz mugs on a subsequent EOC order, also first-rate – robust and casually classy. At this stage, I began adding bags of their coffee beans to my merchandise order, and was sent coffee product that exceeded my baseline stand-by Starbucks beans by a considerable margin, and were definitely worth the few extra dollars. I’m speaking particularly of Sebastian R1. Just a very high-quality coffee experience. On my third EOC order, I ventured into unfamiliar territory with a couple of new coffee bean selections in addition to re-upping a good further supply of my very preferred Sebastian R1. And one of my “new” choices in particular left me less than happy. So I reached out to EOC and made some chimpanzee customer noises, and was greeted with the most caring and empathetic response a customer could possibly wish for. At this stage, I realized these guys were very serious about what they were doing as a team, and they just put the hook in me as a continuing customer possibly for life, for I really enjoy being treated like that. In saying that, now here's my review. Service staff is very friendly and seems knowledgeable enough. Items appear to be more geared towards the pro-consumer market. Nice to see items required were in stock and available.
Items work well and overall, I'm happy with my purchase.
Quite disappointed to be rejected for wholesale pricing. As I've been a Canadian businessman for almost 20 years, I pride myself in supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, it appears that this philosophy is not supported by this business.
Seeing I was physically in the store at the time, someone coming out of the back, sitting down with me and discussing the issue would have been more personable and much more professional, than sending an email with, in my honest opinion, a lame excuse.
Businesses either thrive or fail based on customer service. A small customer today could be a big customer tomorrow. My personal experience has been that the small customers keep me afloat during hard times.
I find it shocking that US companies are more than willing to offer discounts and exemplary customer service - no questions asked. I honestly don't understand why this does not transcend North of the border. Perhaps I should take my business South.

Ok so i'm going to update my review as i do think that how companies deal with critical reviews demonstrate their ethos. First two things is that i was unaware when i bought these products shipments would be delayed as i didn't land on their homepage rather linked from google directly to the product page, and my confirmation email did not state that it would be delayed either, i can fwd this if need be.
With that being said most importantly they did try to make it right and confirmed that in normal situation they ship next day which is important to someone like me when ordering beans. I will give them another try and see how ship times are and hope for the best as they do have a nice selection of hardware and beans. Ordered an able Kone filter and transcend argyll blend coffee on feb 17 , took them way too long to ship even after a few emails and it didn’t get shipped out till mar 1st. Shipping took 3 days received it today March 3. I think like most people we are not expecting Amazon ship times but this is a lengthy amount of time to wait for beans as you are expecting to refill the hopper.
To top it off the coffee was roasted on feb 4 so much older them I’m use to receiving , I would say that I typically like to get my coffee 2-3 weeks from roast date max so a bit too late for me .
