Thanks to the owners & staff of Elite Asian Cuisine Calgary, especially our server, Ate Jane, for this top-notch Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada experience! For only $20, the Prix Fixe meal had 3 choices -- the La Paz Batchoy 🍜, Beef Pares 🍛, or rice + mixed tapa/longganisa (beef strips / sausage) 🍲. All meals came with Siomai 🥟 + Cassava Cake 🍰 Service was exceptional (e.g. they gave us sample lechon 🥩 that was freshly grilled, tasting portions of their bestselling Kansi broth, and everyone was super knowledgeable about the hearty Ilonggo-style cuisine). No hidden charges for our extra crackers for the kids, no drama about special gluten-free or dairy-free requests, and the washroom was sparkling clean! Tasting the Kansi (slow cooked beef broth flavored with the Batuan fruit from the Philippines) brought memories back and of course, I love noodles so the Batchoy was such a delight. Totally...

elite asian cuisine WAS my go to filipino resto. literally 10 mins ago i went there and was the only customer, one of the ates (they were 2) seemed not in the mood cause i thought i interrupted them from having their lunch. i just ignored it and continued being friendly. i had bangsilog and bagoong rice, i was enjoying my food until i saw a string of hair inside the fish. i reached out to that ate and she was just like “ay sorry po baka po sa paghihiwa ng isda” and told the other ate about the incident and they didn’t do anything. i dont wanna sound entitled but they didnt even bother to acknowledge my concern and funny the other ate said “kanino kayang buhok yan?” she asked me if i wanted to order a new one but i already didnt feel like eating and just left the place immediately.

The food was equally impressive—my meal included a generous serving of perfectly cooked rice paired with a rich, flavorful stew topped with crispy garnishes, alongside a hearty dish with tender meat and vegetables. The soup was a nice touch, adding to the authentic Asian flavors. The service was attentive, and the overall atmosphere made it a great spot for a casual yet enjoyable dining experience.
