Subject: Urgent Feedback on Poor Service and Food Quality at Freshslice Pizza
Dear Freshslice Management,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with a recent experience at your Calgary location, which raises serious concerns about customer service and food quality.
Upon visiting your establishment, I requested access to the restroom. The staff member informed me that the washroom was closed. I explained that I am pregnant and urgently needed to use the facilities. She responded that only the manager possesses the keys and did not offer any further assistance.
Given that your restaurant operates late into the evening, it’s essential to provide restroom access for customers, especially those with urgent needs. While I understand concerns about safety in certain areas, there should be protocols in place to accommodate customers appropriately.
Unable to use the restroom at your location, we proceeded to a nearby 7-Eleven. There, the same staff member accused my brother of being intoxicated and claimed he spoke to her rudely, which was not the case. My husband was understandably upset due to my condition and the situation’s escalation.
To compound the situation, the pizza we ordered was burnt and unappetizing, further diminishing our experience.
If the staff member had concerns, she should have addressed them directly with us in a respectful manner. I urge you to review this incident and consider additional training for your staff to handle such situations with empathy and professionalism.

The person who made our pizzas last night used her bare hands to handle almost all the toppings, actually digging through some of them to use pieces from the bottom of the container instead of the top. She served a delivery while making my boyfriend's pizza and didn't wash her hands before touching the toppings, even though the delivery driver dropped a plastic bag on the ground then handed it back to her. Then while she was making my pizza another customer came in to pick up his meal. He paid with a handful of change. She took the coins, finished the transaction, then came back to making my pizza without washing her hands. She was also a bit taken aback when I requested that she wash her hands before touching my food. I am concerned about how many other times during that evening she didn't wash her hands before handling the toppings with her bare hands. We had to leave and find facilities elsewhere. Later, the same staff member accused my brother of being intoxicated and speaking rudely, which was unfounded and added unnecessary stress.
