TLDR; Chicken is fantastic. If you plan to eat here during your lunch break, call ahead with your order. They only cook the chicken once it's ordered; pro: it's fresh from the fryer, crunchy and yummy. Con: it's takes time to cook the chicken so it takes a few minutes before your order is ready.

I love the chicken here, I usually substitute the fries for rice. I'm not sure if I can call Fritou fast food because they don't have the chicken ready for you when you order it, it's not "fast". They only cook the chicken once it's ordered. I cannot make up my mind whether I like that I have to wait for the chicken or not, hence the 4 stars. But then again, you can't have fresh cooked chicken unless you wait right? The solution, just call ahead for your order. The only downside is that you can't really just drop in to eat chicken here, you will have to wait at least 5-10 minutes.

Is it worth it? Yes, totally! Will I come back? Definitely! Will I come back even if I didn't call ahead? Yes, if time allows. I would...

I ordered 3 pcs of chicken and embutido with white rice. They said waiting time was 15 mins but it was more than that… I was waiting for 25 mins…. That’s why all the skip the dishes deliveries are always upset and frowning with u guys coz ur service is really slooow. You guys are losing ur customers coz we want efficient service and not slow. When you say 15 mins is actually 25 mins. Even if you call and order on the phone, by the time u pick up, the food is still not ready. So… for my order today, I saved the embutido for my lunch tomorrow for work. The fried chicken was okay but a little bit salty and the rice was so malata… it's like eating a lugaw. Come on guys… just a plain rice… u can't even make it right?? Don't u see it's malata… it's like lugaw. The Korean restaurant, Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese restaurant can cook better plain white rice with you guys. Just a plain rice and u can’t even cook it right....

Since the recent owners took over, the food I receive has never matched the menu items I order. Chicken burgers served without tomato or cheese, got a side of salsa instead of gravy with the popcorn chicken, etc.

There has been an inconsistency every time I've gone there. It would be more interesting if the missing items were random, like a daily surprise recipe, but they seem to just consistently withold/substitute items to cheap out every time.

Edit: The previous franchisee owner didn't create the many marketing images of the chicken burger including tomato. If you're going to pretend it isn't offered on the item, at least change the images clearly displayed on all of your menus for months since.

It's cool if you change the menu. Just don't...

Just enjoyed a random date night here and had a wonderful experience. Owner is very friendly, generous and even played great music for us while we dined in. You could also eat at the bistro table setup outside but we ate inside this time. It was my wife’s first-time here and she absolutely loved it. Tender, light but crispy chicken. Tasty batter that’s not too heavy, oily or greasy. Fries perfectly done, crispy on the outside but not over cooked. Cole slaw was almost turquoise blue lol, but regardless it was gone moments later. Overall highly recommended & MUST-TRY if you haven’t yet. I’ve been to Mary Browns, Jolibee’s and Pope-eyes and while each of those have good qualities prefer Fritou out of those above. Thanks we’ll be back!

Before i went in, i had read most reviews about how they put too much salt in their chicken and how there is a waiting time. I walked in and I had to wait about 20min for 6 pieces of chicken and some fries and a small coleslaw salad. I now understand what people were talking about. Yes this seasoning is a tad salty but i realize that some pieces had less seasoning on them which made it really good. See picture: the dark one has more seasoning and the brighter one had less seasoning. Chicken was delicious though! Fresh for sure and tasted great. Fries are normal. Coleslaw was creamy and good. Overall yeah i would recommend. They are a bit on the higher price but for once a year visit, not bad.

The lady that was on the till was on her phone when customers had arrived. Food was good except for finding a long hair in the chicken.. Table was very broken as well. Edit: October 31, I was reached out as an apology for finding hair in my food. I was offered a free meal as compensation. Unfortunately I will not be going back as once again I have found hair in my food and not just one but two. My biggest issue with it is that the hair was clearly cooked with the chicken. So make sure to check your food before you eat it.
