2nd visit. Not lowering the rate but oh my..... Very disappointed for giving another try at this place.
We unfortunately got the same rude waitress that last time and she took it to the top today as she again pressured us to order drinks but the worse is she rolled her eyes at me when I called her to remind her of a drink I ordered 10 minutes ago. She didn't even pretend as I was looking at her. This waitress had no issue showing she gets bothered when called constantly because either: she takes her sweet time bringing a drink; she's not offering a drink even after having an empty glass for over 15 minutes; asking for napkins when she only gave us two even though we had quite a bit of food; or asked to give us somewhere to put the bones from the wings. What the hell is she a waitress if she hates to be called to serve us?. Seriously? We were very blunt with the owner that we really liked the food but we wanted to avoid this lady at all cost and he unfortunately didn't give any indication this could be achievable so we will be taking our business somewhere else. I hope is worth it keeping such a rude and unhappy server on his team. And thanks for the discount; appreciated; after the big disappointment we went through today.
1st visit The ambiance is nice and the music level is just right to still have a conversation. We had the cheese platter and the carnitas and they were both very tasty. I had a prosecco and it wasn't really good; I didn't get any bubbliness like the bottle was opened for a while. In general I liked the place but one of the waitresses was quite rude; out of the blue she brought another carnitas that we didn't order and she said "remember you ordered another of this?" and when we said no; she said oh I guess "I imagined it" in a very sarcastic tone. It made no sense since we didn't even finished the 1st plate we ordered. The other thing I didn't like is that this same waitress kept my friend's phone to hold our table. My friend left her wallet in her car so she had to run back to get it and the waitress didn't believe her she'd come back I guess. I know my friend did it to ensure she got a table for us but this young lady needs to learn better manners to threat people. The place wasn't even packed on a Friday night to justify her approach. We also felt rush to order more drinks; while we stayed a couple of hours; our bill was over $100; I don't think we were abusing our time there; specially cause again they were not busy. It's a shame we had to deal with this lady; as we'll likely won't come back because of...
Read moreA group of us recently visited Small Bar, with two members of our party being Bridgeland residents who had frequently patronized this venue under its previous name, Cannibale. While the visit began promisingly, it quickly took an unfortunate turn.
One member of our party had brought a small container with a modest amount of fresh berries they had picked that day, offering them for us to sample. Shortly after, a staff member named Lyric approached our table to inform us that "there was absolutely no outside food allowed in the establishment." The tone was unnecessarily disciplinary and out of place for the situation.
Our friend clarified that we were simply tasting the berries and had already placed a food order with the staff. However, the staff member persisted, stating that it didn't matter and that outside food was strictly prohibited. Her response carried an even more disciplinary and distasteful tone, which served to further embarrass our friend in front of the group.
This experience was particularly disappointing given that Small Bar's stated mission is "to make things easy, comfortable, inclusive, and fun" - which was far from what we encountered. While we understand that regulations and policies exist for valid reasons, this situation could have been handled with much greater tact and professionalism. The staff member had the opportunity to address the matter courteously and respectfully without intentionally creating an awkward and embarrassing situation for paying customers.
This is especially unfortunate as our local friends had been regular patrons of this neighborhood establishment, and this experience has left them reluctant to return. Given Small Bar's mission statement, it's important for the establishment to recognize that in a city with numerous excellent dining options, exceptional service is what drives customer retention in this competitive sector. While the location has its charm, it's disappointing that the staff training doesn't reflect the welcoming atmosphere the restaurant claims to provide.

Read moreLil' story for you.
It was a Tuesday evening, click, click, click, boom. 'You have confirmed your flight to Las Vegas for this Thursday." The following day, it occurred to me....."dude you have had long hair for like over 2 years now, time to switch it up."
I made a last min booking with David Vincent. When I got there, I explained my scenario - "man I'm going to Vegas, I want a movie star haircut - something that makes stands out." I showed him a picture of the actor Frank Grillo. Additionally I showed up wearing clothing that Frank would wear in a movie, to complete 'the look.'
When I got to Vegas, I learned the Adult Entertainment Awards and expo were happening. Now, believe me - this is not my scene. However, it is new life experience and on this occasion I said "yes" to new life experience. I turned this scenario into speed dating one gorgeous woman after another, it was exhilarating to say the least, a bunch of laughs, smiles, hugs and maybe some contact info ;). I was encouraged to join the industry 30+ times (just a bit of an ego boost). So now I know if my day job doesn't work out.....haha I'm kidding I'm kidding.
The point is, a haircut can 1000% help you tap into energy you have inside you. Sometimes it can even feel like stepping into shoes that aren't your own, and all the sudden you're a different enhanced version of yourself. It may sound silly, but I believe this whole heartedly.
A big shout out to...
