Good Earth Coffeehouse - Signal Hill — Restaurant in Calgary

If I can rate 0, I would. My husband and I placed an order at this location through SkipTheDishes App last January 23. We ordered several things from them. All of them were EXPIRED. My husband had the Italian Deli Panini, he only took a bite and realized the odd taste from the sandwich. He contacted the customer service on Skip, and was refunded with the amount we paid for. He later had an apple fritter instead.

I thought nothing would go wrong after that. I ordered Classic Steak Panini Grilled Sandwich & Margherita Sandwich also ordered as grilled (which wasn't grilled when it got to me, but I just shrugged it off since my pregnancy craving is killing me). I was fine after eating them, I also ordered 2 Banana chocolate chip loaf which had 2 different actual sizes. Later that night, my husband and I started vomiting, and taking turns going to washroom. Mind you I AM CURRENTLY PREGNANT, and was scared to death for me and my baby's health. My mom had to call in sick to look after my two kids, because for heaven's sake. We were so sick that, if only our bathroom sink and toilet bowl can scream it would!!!!! My mom saw how bad the situation was and said that we were food poisoned.

The experience traumatized me and my family. It gave me anxiety attacks nights before my ultrasound. Thank God, we are safe and got through hell. I WILL NEVER AGAIN ORDER AT ANY GOOD EARTH...

Early this afternoon, I went to the Good Earth Cafe in Signal Hill. I saw their advertisement for a Mac and Cheese, one cookie, and one water or coffee. Price $14 + tax. See the attached picture from right in front of their till.

When I ordered, the girl tried to tell me that only coffee applies—I can’t have water. I directed her to their advertisement and said it says I can have water. So, she eventually gave me water. Then she asked if I want bacon or not, and she said the bacon adds another around $2 to the price. I again directed her to their picture that clearly displays bacon included in the original price. She would not budge on this. Finally, I agreed to pay $16 for the whole thing including bacon.

I tried to place this order before 2 PM but my discussion with this girl took several minutes before I could finally pay for it. Well, at around 2:07 PM, she came back from the back room to say it was past 2 PM, so I couldn’t have my order. Are you kidding me?

False advertising. Terrible service. They did reimburse me, though. So, that’s good. And the ginger cookie...

Went to Indigo for some stuff. Good earth coffeehouse is located inside indigo. They had constant orders coming their way but were managing it so nicely while only 2 people working on a weekend busy hours. It took few minutes to take my order as they were filling up for the previous one but as soon as the order was placed everything was promptly delivered.

While waiting to order I was able to explore their new summer drinks, so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered hot mocha and a Yuzu orange blossom tea sparkler.
