Wish I could give 0 stars. Easily the worst restaurant to dine at. Do not waste your time, money or gas coming here. READ BEFORE YOU DINE.

It was our first time dining here. We wanted to try a new place out. Restaurant looked good from outside with ample parking. You get inside and it is very nice inside however we were greeted by a female server who looked miserable and hated her life. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Pawned us off to a young male who was very polite. We thought he would turn the experience around but after he set us up on the iPad, he was basically MIA the entire duration of our dining experience.

Our food arrive and the sushi is legit the size of a small pinky (Maybe half an inch in width and an inch and a quarter in length). The rolls were not that great either. Small and mushy.

We ordered chicken teriyaki for my 5 yr old and only 2 small strips of chicken came on the plate about the length of a pinky. It was absolutely ridiculous. At fusion or any other sushi place you’d get a full piece of chicken thigh or breast cut into 5-10 pierces. WE GOT 2 TINY STRIPS!

The rest of the cooked food was mediocre at best. Small portions and took forever to receive. The only thing that was worth while (or so we thought) was the garlic beef. The first plate was delicious so we ordered 2 more. Little did we know we would get something different? The 2nd and 3rd plate was literally tasteless/sauce was watered down. Beef and mushrooms were barely cooked. It was not hot. Mushrooms were pretty much raw. It was pale looking compared to the first one which was dark in color and flavourful. There is zero consistency with the food.

Took 30 min to get my daughter her dessert (icecream). The restaurant was NOT busy. There were at least 6 servers and only 1 server (bald guy) did his job. He basically ran food through the entire restaurant and was very nice.

Noone came to clear the dishes. I kid you not, we stacked all of our dishes hoping someone would SEE IT and clear it. It was nearly 3 foot in height. So many servers came by and not one of them cleared any empty dishes. They also failed to clear the empty tables after people finished dining.

We ordered a soda and green tea. My tea/kettle was lukewarm at best. It was as if they gave me someone else’s old tea kettle. As said before, servers were not attentive and majority of the time was MIA. We literally waited 45 min to get a refill and ended up getting up and going to the machine to refill the soda ourselves. No one even knew or cared. Honestly, if we walked out on our bill, no one would even know. That was how irresponsible these servers were.

We requested the bill through the iPad which said a server is on their way. Filthy lie. Waited for nearly 20 min and then got up to find someone who came and gave us an incorrect bill.

We will never dine here again and would not recommend this restaurant. 100% they will close down sooner rather than later with this type of service and poor quality food.

Even my 5 year old said she would have rather eat at A&W than to eat here. Her dad who never complains was even disappointed and not impressed with this place.

P.S. prob same owners as fusion however fusion is one step above this restaurant.

P.P.S. Complete waste of $90. Go somewhere else and forget this place.

P.P.P.S. People who have left 5 star reviews must have extremely low standards. I normally do not leave reviews unless it is 110% unsatisfactory so take my review as is but I can guarantee you that you will have the worst dining experience. I was already skeptical reading the reviews and the 1 star reviews were all accurate. It is also bs that the owner keeps saying to the 1 stars it is a one off instance when it...

I am currently changing the nature of my review I left last night while we were dining. I’ll mention again that staff were on point. My family ended up having a huge misunderstanding. We’ve never been Sushi & Kitchen. Our server explained we could have all we can eat for 40 bucks a person or order straight from the menu. My partner and I both agreed at the table with our server present, letting her know we would just grab a couple items from the menu. Our server seemed to understand left the menu and a tablet.. I grabbed the one menu reading off some things, while my partner took the tablet left, and was like great!! We can just order on here. That’s cool we thought! Away we went and enjoyed our meal. My family are huge on sushi, the mentioned a couple things about the food and perhaps watered down soy sauce? I LIKED the food. Crunchy rolls and deep fried dumpling.. we get our bill. For 3 people, charged 140 bucks. Read our receipt and let our server know she had made a mistake. No mistake she said, and pointed to the tablet and explained THAT was used for the “all you can eat”. I let her know and acknowledged her presence and response when we told her we would be ordering from the menu.. she seemed to understand when she left to grab our drinks! then why did she leave behind the tablet? I’ll assume at this point she was a new server, honestly, so kind, great attitude and I’m hoping she just made a mistake.

I asked for the manager when the server wasn’t budging on our dilemma. We explained the situation and it was absolutely a misunderstanding but for some reason, they didn’t want to budge to change the price. Twice they said they would see what they could do, coming back only to say “you ordered from the tablet so this is your bill” wouldn’t budge..they came back with the menu and a peice of paper, told us to right out what we ordered… it was on the tablet, and at this moment we realized we would no longer be receiving a level of care. Every time we were left by the manager, it was for very long periods of time. 2 other servers brought us the same bill because they noticed how long we’ve been sitting there.. I continued to apologize and thank them for their effort anyways. Comes back with our bill. 90$. That’s a huge difference. Maybe they helped? Idk? We just knew we didn’t order that much. Imagine it added up to the same price🤣, but we knew there was no way..

We will not be returning or recommending your establishment to others. We appreciate the patience and that you did help us. It was a hard experience. For our kids birthday, took a chance on sushi driving by.....

Update ** went back again on three separate occasions with three different groups of people . The last time I went there was a bit of a wait to be seated . So awesome to see this place succeeding !!!!

I’ve changed my review from a 3 star to a 5 star and including my old review to understand why.

The staff here are all really awesome and aware. If they are not or overlook a minor problem then they respond with apology and speed. Even if they are overly busy they smile and they care - so so important in service and something lacking at every other ayce sushi place in Calgary — this last time I went there were several issues ... no soy sauce at the table, orders coming incorrectly , not enough cutlery, and dirty table to start... but it’s how the staff handle these things that make the experience so much better. With care and kindness ❤️🥰

My only suggestion is to include an option on the iPad that allows diners to make adjustments to their orders as communications with the waiting staff is pretty minimal which means if you like to order without sauce or have something cooked a certain way you need to flag a waiter/ waitress down every time . It’s the first time I’ve ever come into an establishment where I genuinely like every waiter/waitress *

Came here on opening day. For a first day, the kitchen actually ran really smoothly. Half the wait staff ( the younger ones) were super attentive and great. The older ones seem more reserved and after a lengthy conversation, I realized they couldn’t speak English all that well.

Food came out super fast and sashimi was fresh and thick unlike the other ayce places .

I loved that they had avocado salad but it would’ve tasted much better if they hadn’t sliced the avocados so thin. Creating a larger surface area just allows for more oxidizing to occur and takes away from the buttery texture that avocados have.

The food here would be so much better if they didn’t drench their food in the sugary sauces . Made most of their hot food really hard to eat. I don’t quite understand the condiments either. Wings were served with ketchup, calamari served with the tangy don Katsu sauce . Just made no sense and was kind of sad to see how management dismissed my recommendations. Which is why I gave a 3 star over a 4 star.

If you do decide to order the teriyaki dishes make sure to order sauce on the side .

All in all the sushi itself was great , the service was awesome .

I hope they do well ! I...
