Updating my review to be a bit more critical. I had previously given an okay review but things are not getting better with time here...
The drinks and food are good some days and I really wish there were more vegan options available. There have been a few times where I've received an undercooked muffin or a room temperature latte which is super disappointing. Vegan wise, they have just two vegan muffins available (sometimes less) . Having even a single vegan sandwich/wrap option is so simple.
The staff here are friendly but they are either lacking training or did not retain their training. If you have a question about one of their beverages or food options they will simply read the menu to you. If the menu doesn't say, they have no idea. I have also noticed the owner has her children(?) working some days and they don't even know how to run the cash register...
There is a complete lack of urgency amongst the staff (and owners) at this location when preparing food/drinks. There can be a total of three drinks to be made and it will take over 10 minutes. This is largely in part because they make the drinks one at a time and carefully measure out everything with a shot glass. Teaching the staff to make multiple drinks at once and having portioned pumps or pour spouts would help speed things up here.
Finally, I've noticed they no longer write the drink on the cup but instead communicate verbally as to which drink it is. I have had to watch and stop them several times to ensure my drink is being made with oat milk instead of 2%. This is absolutely not something the customer should have to do but I have gotten ill from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been meeting a friend at GoodEarth in Bridgeland for approximately 8 months once or twice per month. My experience has always been good. Today however, was a different experience. I arrived around 12:30 to meet a friend for coffee. As I was waiting for the young girl to wait on another customer I thought I would order a scone, looking at what was in the display case I noticed āfruit Flies ā flying around and sitting on the scones. When the young girl with the long blonde hair was finished with the other customer I asked her if she could get me another fresh scone as I noticed fruit flies on the ones in the display case, she abruptly says to me those ones are fresh and she didnāt see any fruit flies, I said to her Iām not making up a story here to be rude Iām just alerting you to what Iām seeing, she never took the time to look at my complaint, I asked her again is there some other fresh scones other than the ones in the display case she again told those ones are fresh and she doesnāt see only fruit flies. When my friend arrived I told him want happened suggested to him not to purchase any scones. We order a coffee and When we left they were still in the display case. I basically was called a liar!! I had to bit my tongue, because if I hadnāt I would have embarrassed myself saying something I probably would have regretted. This is the last time I will be returning. Very Disappointing and frustrating experience. Sorry...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNobody is happy to see you here, and nobody will give you a good service here.. Unfortunately, this kind of experience we had. We got 2 coffees, and we throw them out just because it was horrible.
Employee was sitting in the corner talking to her phone after serving us, and when next customers came, she was very upset and didnāt go to the till straight away. Sorry, I never will understand this customer service. We wanted to support local, but itās not worth it. Not friendly, and Iām not too sure if she knows what sheās doing, because I was requiring a drink, and she said that shaken espresso, latte and cappuccino is the same drink⦠Never coming back but only thing I liked, it was a design and it was pretty cozy place, so itās a shame to have such a horrible customer service because I bet they would have much more customers and business if they would hire someone...
