Humpty's Big Plate Diner - Richmond Road — Restaurant in Calgary

So my roommate and I have been eyeing up Humptys for awhile now. We finally decided to give it a go, and boy... did they deliver. From the moment we stepped in the door we were greeted by welcoming staff and entered an atmosphere like no other. The service was bang on- speedy, friendly and very professional. When we opened the menu we could barely believe our eyes. The options were endless. We settled on some breakfasts classics with a modern twist - perogies on the side. The food blew us out of the water. Similar to what you'd expect at a 5 star dining restaurant. The eggs were poached perfectly and the butter was on the toast was spread with care. The omelette was stuffed to the brim, no cheating out here folks. It may have been a little underseasoned bu they provide salt and pepper at the table. My roommates egg benny was one of the best she had and the jam selection for my toast was extensive. At the end of the day, Humptys provided a very memorable experience. Humpty's Restaurant Review: A Culinary Experience to Forget

Oh, Humpty's, where do I even begin? If I had known that my 33 km journey would lead me to a restaurant that closes its kitchen at the ripe hour of 7:30 PM, I might have considered packing a picnic. Seriously, what type of kitchen shuts down before prime dinner time? It’s almost as if they don’t want customers to enjoy an evening meal.

I suppose it’s no mystery why all the Humpty's locations are closing. Who needs consistent operating hours or customer satisfaction when you can just close up shop whenever you feel like it? Congratulations, Humpty's, you’ve managed to turn the simple act of dining out into a wild goose chase. If I wanted a quest, I would have gone to an escape room, not a restaurant.

I always eat from this place food is usually really good. Yesterday I got my usual breakfast delivered and while I was enjoying it I nearly broke my tooth while I bit in something hard. I called the restaurant to say hey there is something in my food. The lady on the phone was laughing while she took the phone to someone else. I explained to the man that came on the phone. He assured me it was not what I thought but part of the ham bone. I said either way that's disgusting to find. Then he hung up on me.
