After i saw their 25$ per person, 9 course meal deal on tiktok, i was exciting to try with high expectations. We end up getting just regular meals instead of the lunch set, yet there were a free things they still need to improve. 1. (preparation )- The waiting time for food was 35mins since they served all meals at the same time, we waited total 45mins for our meals. So, if u are in rush i would suggest it might not be a good idea to sit there and wait. 2. (Customer Service) - Their service still need a lot of improvements. We only saw our server once when he took our orders. There was no one checking in how the food was between the dining time. He also seems like he doesn't have knowledge about menu very well. Every inquiries we asked, he went to check kitchen multiple times. 3. (Food) - The stir-fried pork was ok but the pork bone soup was not much flavorful as i expected & had before. We also got the kimchi pancake but end up getting the burned cake instead (15$ floated). More than half portions were burnt as u can see in picture yet they only said sorry and nothing else. 4. For last, i remembered i ordered the sotbol or smth cripsy rice instead of the regular rice to our server but our rice was just regular rice when we got it. 5. However, atmospheres and the decorations were modern also the way they served food was aesthetic for pictures. *Overall, their special set quality might be different than the regular menus that we had but from my experience, i’m disappointed.*

We came for the 9-set course meal for $25/person. We weren't expecting a lot but still it was lackluster. The food itself was not impressive, with the pork hock and the kimchi pancake being our favourites of the set. The side dishes were yummy as side dishes and they even gave us a refill on the kimchi. The corn cheese shrimp wasn't very good or very big pieces of shrimp. The spicy braised tofu was a bit on the saltier side, and the stir-friend beef brisket with bean sprouts was more bean sprouts than the beef brisket. However, the amount of food you receive really isn't enough for one person to feel full. The minimum number of people you need to order the set is 2, making it a $50 meal, but yet I don't think it would be worth it. On a positive note, the food did come quickly. The service was really good, and quite attentive. We were unfortunately still hungry for more food after the set meal, so we tried to order more dishes but they told us it would be 30 min wait. We were not keen on waiting, so we did not order anymore. If you are new to Korean food and you want to try a little bit of everything, then I would maybe recommend this to you. But if you were not new, I would suggest individual dishes instead that you were interested instead.

Tried for the first time, we came here for organ soup but oyster pancake was a hit! The best in YYC! Visited for Sun afternoon, it was pretty quiet. We tried organ soup, we had it in Korea and was on hunt for the organ soup in YYC. organ soup was ok, I liked pork bone soup better, lots of lots of pork bones and flavorful soup! My absolute favorite was oyster pancake. It was AMAZING. Crispy outside, lots of oyster and vegetable inside. I hate pancake with just batter and not much stuff inside, this one is thick, but really well cooked! 100% recommend. LA gulbi was also good. Price wise I thought it was a bit over priced compare to other Korean places in town, especially considering the potion of the food and side dishes, etc. however, they have $50/2ppl course menu, which looked absolutely great value. I’d love to give it a try next time! Service was ok, it looks like a family restaurant, it was very welcoming. Overall I enjoyed their food a lot, would come back for sure!

When the place first opened it was amazing. The large intestine sundae and jokbal were phenomenal at very reasonable prices. The sundae was better than the one i had in the well known sundae place North Vancouver. I brought friends and colleagues and recommended it to people. It is as authentic as it can get in Calgary. The soups and stews (beef intestine stew is great) are also great as well as the cold noodles.

Update: the last few times i ordered stews, bbq pork, large intestine sundae, etc, it was not nearly as good. (dined in and delivery) The sundae stew and pork stew was bland, tasted watered down we didn't finish it. When i ordered the bbq pork over half of the meat was just fat. It is questionable how they can grill that kind of meat thinking it is okay to sell it. The sundae was quite skinny compared to the last few times i ordered it - like by half but the cut up length and the number of pieces was about the same as before. I would suggest raising the prices and/or reduce the portion size accordingly instead of selling sundae that is the girth of my thumb in size like that. It is quite cheap considering how much work and effort that goes into making it - other restaurants are selling a plate of pasta for 25 dollars these days.

Im not leaving this review in korean. Koreans would hate my suggestion of raising prices/reducing portions 😂 but korean food is much more labor intensive and time consuming to make, requires quite a bit of expertise, especially some of the dishes that this place serves. It is not a quick and cheap type of cuisine and it should not be sold as such. that isn't fair to the chefs/owners of korean restaurants and won't be sustainable. It will also...

Always delicious, authentic, and excellent quality food as well as service at Jeong!

So lucky to have found this amazing restaurant in Calgary – they have traditional Korean food in generous portions served with yummy sides too. We try to go at least every week as their food is like a nice cozy warm hug from the inside and is very nutritious!

We also love their hours and love getting dinner there after a movie.

We’ve loved so many dishes of theirs ranging from:

Daeji Gukbab with glass noodles – always comforting and love side of shrimp paste to eat with it Kimchi Stew – packed with so much flavor Kimchi pancake Mandu - steamed dumplings Yukgye Jang – lots of good fillings in this too Pork Bone Soup Seol Leong Tang – we get this when we want to feel better

They have tasty sides and are so kind in refilling them! We tend to quickly eat the cubed radish

Their drink selection is great too with lots of options from hot tea, sodas, and alcoholic drinks.

Staff is incredibly friendly and make you feel welcome every time. They also adjust spice levels for your dish which is AMAZING (other places do not lol) so thank you chefs!!!

We’ve also gotten take out from them and everything is always packed very well so nothing has ever leaked!

Highly recommend Jeong!

There’s a small parking lot but we haven’t had issues parking there when we...
