I was just here today and the staff are mostly very nice and the ambience is good as is the coffee and food - typical of Good Earth. I went to work at the cafe, lost track of time, and a staff member came up and said to me "you know there is a 2 hour limit right?" Listen, I get it, it's a pandemic and things are at reduced capacity, but the place was empty the entire time I was there ( there was just me and another couple inside). I was using a plug, but I absolutely would have forgone that to someone else as well as my table if there weren't 10 other tables, no issues. She said this to me around 1:30, which in my experience in the service industry is past any lunch rush. Then she told me I could leave for an hour and come back. What's the difference? If it were busy, absolutely, call me out. But this was just really uncomfortable and it feels like the staff have been told to enforce rules without thinking about the actual state of the cafe, and, at least in my case, to the detriment of guest experience. It also felt like the staff is just sort of assuming the worst of people, which again I sympathize as someone who has served during the pandemic, but I really don't think this is the right approach, nor fair. I completely understand capacity issues, but calling customers out loudly in an empty restaurant to enforce a rule that has no immediate pressing need to be enforced is not the best way to ensure your customers actually want to come back, and its really uncomfortable. When I told the staff member she made me feel uncomfortable she literally rolled her eyes and said 'oh come on" and stormed off. I think I'll skip this location...
Read moreWorst Good Earth I have ever been to! I don't usually write those reviews but when I do you know there is a serious problem! We wanted to order a grilled sandwich and we asked if they could put some spinach in addition on it (of course we would pay extra if needed) and after the employee consulted with someone who seemed to be a manager there we got "no". With the sandwiches, I wanted to order more things but instead of asking me if that is everything I wanted they just give me the total and I have to explain to them that I wanted to order more things around two times. After I give them a list of things I want I had to repeat around 3 times because they kept forgetting them... One of the things I ordered was Pecan Danish and the manager person had no clue what Pecan Danish looked like and after going "did you want this one?" around 5 times having no idea what the fk she is selling I had to walk up there and point at the Pecan Danish.... Then we wanted to order a small milk which is on their menu and they got super confused, first they tried to add more milk to the mocha I ordered and then they asked if we wanted steamed milk and when we explained that we wanted just a small 2% milk we got "nooo.... but it's so expensive... I wouldn't get it if I would be you..."........ What .... The.... Fk!!?!?! I think a 6 year old child could serve me way way better than those two morons working there.... I think the name of that person was Venessa and she was Indian... Absolutely...
