Jan 2023: Gave it another shot, I like to give places a fair shake once in awhile, but this is still 0/5, not worth it. Over $22 for the same combo (doesn't even come with a salad anymore) I've been ordering for a decade, which used to (like 2? years ago) be around $14. There is a lot of competition in fried chicken these days, and you can get so much more, better quality and much lower cost elsewhere.
Updated Review June 2021: Reduced to 1 Star, 0 if I could. Gave it another shot as its been a few months. Food was 25% more expensive than that listed on KFC App, and it was small, dry and overcooked. $18 combo (yes, a 4th price for the same meal, see above) and I'm still hungry, I'm done.
Original: Visited this location 3 times in total since it opened. I have ordered the same meal at KFC for years, 3 piece combo, all white. I have no issues paying a bit more for specifying all white (I specify white with wings), but this location charged me a different price each time (12.43, 14.73, 16.59). Wouldn't be so bad if the pieces of chicken where actually... chicken size, did you guys chop up one of those rotisserie chickens? Cornish Game Hen maybe? I've never seen pieces so small... Hard pass on this location, I love KFC but if I am going to have to drive a bit further to any other location, or just go up to...
Read moreI have been coming here for years (10 piece hot wings all flat back) and always had great service but today I had to write this review cause I’m in shock but the behaviour of the staff. The staff was incredibly busy with the drive thru and delivery pick up they couldn’t be bothered to help me for some time. The longer I stood there trying to select the more chaotic and unprofessional this became. The pop machine overflowed and the till staff stared at it. Just stared. Didn’t try to do anything. 10 mins goes by and it’s all over the place and I said someone should deal with that and he said “sorry about that” and it’s been 33 mins and no one had dealt with it before I took the wet floor sign and put it down myself so no one got hurt. I get it’s Mother’s Day and It’s busy but this is absolutely not okay. I even tried to order 10 hot wings (all flat) and he tried to deter me because it would be 7 mins..
Update: EVEN WORSE.. I get home and they didn’t even give all flat back. I have an autistic kid who can’t eat the round ones. I paid 16$ and waited for him not to be able to eat a full meal. You have got to be kidding me honestly. What a joke. As a loyal customer who comes here a few times a month for this one order for my kid, I’m actually infuriated this is the issues I have to deal with on...
Read moreVerdict: DON’T come here.
Good: The chicken taste was on par - super greasy but edible. Fries were crispy and hot.
Bad: The gravy is liquid and watered-down to save on cost, not as flavourful as other locations nearby.
Really bad: Out of the 20 piece meal we got, there were 9 drumsticks, 6 thighs, 2 wings, and 1 small breast, and 2 ribs. In other words, 75% dark meat and almost 50% cheap dark meat. Either these guys can’t recognize a drumstick from regular pieces or they’re saving the good pieces for friends and family who feed most of the 5-star reviews - you decide.
While we grew up on KFC, things have clearly changed. Mary Brown’s is 5 min drive from here and Popeyes about 15 away. Both have way bigger pieces. Mary Brown’s in particular gives whole pieces, so 1 MB = 2-3 KFC pieces. If we ever try KFC again, it won’t be from this location - these owners think they’ll have a constant stream of hotel guests to take advantage of.
If you are at one of the hotels near the airport, do yourself a favour and walk across to the T&T mall or cross the street to the next block where there’s a ton of good restaurants. We tried T.Pot, Jerusalem Shawarma, and others in this area - all were far better picks...
