La Diperie Gateway — Restaurant in Calgary

I was really excited when I realized there was an ice cream place down the street from me but man that was disappointing :( we ordered one of the waffle ice creams, I wanted the banana split one and they didn't have banana. They are literally across the street from a grocery store lol. So fine, I got the lava cake waffle instead. The waffle came out of a package and tasted kind of old and was really chewy. The lava cake had zero flavor, it tasted like flour and egg and there was no runny chocolate in the middle. The soft serve ice cream had a really bizarre texture. We grabbed a couple cake slices from the freezer and they tasted like they were sitting there for months and the brownie one was completely dried out. Most of it went in the garbage. Unfortunately, the parking situation to even access this store on Broadcast Ave is a huge deterrent. I had to double park because there was zero parking on the whole block. After circling twice. I would not have gone except my hubbie really wanted powder coated donuts from there. Then the service was slow. I ordered and paid and let them know i will be back in 5min as there was no parking. I was only one there and the donuts weren't even started to warm. Then sadly, the donuts weren't powder coated. I had to go and took these as is even though I mentioned it and got an answer that that is normal. So a fail for a Saturday night, and won't come again as parking and time to get the order is too big a deterrent. I hope you can fix this to allow business to be better. I live...
