I wish I had read the reviews before I went and could have saved myself the time and money. The bad reviews totally echo my sentiment here. Tables were dirty, no customer service and rudeness when I did speak with someone. There was no communication about wait times for food and they were long wait times. Food portion was not great for the price and food definitely left us underwhelmed. As a new business opening up you get one chance to impress a customer. Using the excuse that you didn’t know that you would be busy in your responses to poor reviews is not really a good excuse. You could have easily asked any of the other new restaurants that opened recently before you and in the same strip as you what their openings were like. If you are not able to provide customer service, a clean environment or timely food, why not just communicate that to patrons when they arrive so they can make the decision on whether they wish to dine there. To allow people to wait as long as they have and not communicate that in advance is a poor business practice. I have not gone into every detail of this bad experience but hope that the owner and Mgmt make some huge adjustments quickly. Left your establishment very disappointed. Also found it interesting that multiple reviews that gave 5 stars have the same last name…. Seems kinda like fake reviews to balance out the bad ones by maybe...

I am pleased to recommend meltwish that serves excellent food and has an impeccable level of cleanliness and care. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

My family was excited to try this grilled cheese sandwich joint, and we left a little underwhelmed. The Southern Chicken sandwich was really good, as was the Godfather. Milkshakes were tasty though a tad too expensive for the serving amount. The tater tots as a side were also good, as they must cook them in the same oil as the onion rings. The Mac Daddy poutine was the most disappointing, as it looked like it should taste delicious (if you are a fan of onions and macaroni and cheese) but the bbq sauce used (maybe poutine sauce) left a lot to be desired. I really like that Meltwich offers special priced food items for each day of the week, and the premise is fantastic. Execution was lacking unfortunately. The food is heavy and very filling, so we probably didn't need to order as much as we did. They do have a kids menu and my children enjoyed the kids grilled cheese, but I am not sure if we will come back. Hard to recommend, unless you really love cheese melts and poutine. They do use Frank's Hot Sauce for some of their menu items, and I do love me...
