First time at this new location, we are regular Milestones visitors because they have one of my favourite dishes (portobello mushroom chicken) and favourite drinks (Bellini).
We got there before dinner rush, 4:30pm or so ā¦and the Service was great! People were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere also nice and I was excited to hear one of my favourite restaurants opened up so close to home.
However,
First, The Bellini was not good. Looked the same as what I am use too but definitely didnāt taste the same. Very disappointed.
I love the sauce that is on the chicken dish but recently they have been very cheap with the amount of sauce. They would always give a good amount of sauce for the dish but lately havenāt so I have started ordering a side of sauce. I am paying $4 for a side of sauce, to achieve what they use to do on their own when making the dish. Today the side sauce came and it was no where near the same consistency as the sauce on the chicken. It was bland, A much lighter colour and it was not thick⦠it was soup with portobello mushrooms in it.
over all the sauce was a bit bland and tasted different than it has from my previous experiences. Even the sauce on the chicken.
I get this dish every time I visit a Milestones, I specifically go there for this dish. the one I had at this location didnāt āhit the spotā or taste anywhere near as good or as flavourful as the dishes I have had in the years Iāve gone.
Also, inconsistent with food on plate. Two of us got exact same dish, there were no onions with my veggies while the other plate had onions. As well, my beans were very undercooked.
Also, as I said, I ordered a Bellini and instead of the sever asking who it was for, he went to hand it to my 15 year old daughter. Yes she looks mature (like most can these days), thatās why in industries where alcohol is served they teach you not to assume an age. When he approached the table, he should have asked who the drink was intended for. It gives the impression that teens can go on their own to places and be served alcohol because assumptions are made.
Another milestones location did something similar once. That situation was addressed back when it happened. I wish industries that handle alcohol would exercise extra caution when serving people. You could literally be serving a child.
I give 2 stars because I want to enjoy my food and drink, especially at these prices.
Service matters for sure! but Iām at the restaurant for the food, if it isnāt good⦠your wonderful service doesnāt mean anything.
Also, 2 stars because the server wasnāt mindful enough to check who ordered the alcohol and assumed it was my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe visited Milestone for the first time and had a great experience overall. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and wasnāt overly busy. The service was friendly, and we were quickly seated at our table.
The menu had plenty of options, and my kids chose the 5 oz sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. My wife ordered from the Milestone Winter Blast menu, while I went with the ribeye steak. We were pleasantly surprised by how tender the sirloin steaks were. My kids are very particular about their steaks and usually go for higher quality cuts, but they absolutely loved them. The seasoning was spot on, and they were cooked to perfection.
Unfortunately, my ribeye steak wasnāt cooked properly. The area around the bone was raw, while the rest of the steak was fine. When I brought it up, the manager came out and provided me with a fresh 5 oz sirloin steak instead. While I appreciated the quick resolution, it wasnāt quite the same as getting my ribeye cooked correctly.
We finished off the meal with dessert, my kids enjoyed their cookie sundaes, and I had a white chocolate cheesecake, both of which were delicious.
Overall, Milestone was a great dining experience with excellent service and a solid menu. The only downside was my ribeye not being cooked properly, which is why Iām giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Weāll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I went here for a Mother's Day dinner for me last night. Honestly, the experience didn't start off very good. We had a reservation and the hostess that showed us to our seating tried putting us at a table with chairs. We had our infant son with us who was in his carrier, and balancing him on a chair can be dangerous. When I asked her if there was any way we could get a booth, she told me that the booth was reserved. I then asked her if I should have specified that I wanted a booth when I booked the reservation (I didn't specify because they didn't ask, and any place I've booked a reservation at that needed you to specify asked what I'd prefer), she gave me a very snarky "probably". Thankfully who I'm assuming is the manager overheard our interaction and immediately fixed the situation. Had she not interacted I was honestly debating on just leaving, and this review would be going a lot differently. After being seated at a booth everything was fantastic. The food was great and the waiting staff were friendly. I also liked how before taking our orders they asked if any of us had...
