Ordered sate beef rice vermicelli and a wonton soup taste of the food is 6/10. its not terrible, but it's not good enough to get me to want to go back the soup was nice, not too fishy, and not spicy at all. again 6/10, good but not great. the rice noodles were cut into small pieces for some reason which made them difficult to eat with chop sticks. why they cut them makes no sense, and in fact, is enough of a reason for me to not want to go back. i expected because it was sate that it'd be spicy. i love spicy food. this had absolutely no spice to it. barely perceptible peanut flavor. the fish sauce was given to us loose in the bag and spilled everywhere. the rice verm container was smaller than other places ive gone to, and the portion size was below average compared to other places, but the soup container was huge and the two of us werent able to eat all of it. again, it was alright but nothing to rave about. 6/10. C+. the thing that really makes me never want to go back is the entry way was full of insects. beetles or flys or something. black bugs with red stripes a little smaller than a dime. they were everywhere. when i got back to my car, they were in my car, which means they were on me, which means there's a good chance they are elsewhere in the restaurant or even the kitchen. that alone disqualifies them from being somewhere i...

I work near here and have been in there many times. Today was freezing cold and all I could dream about was getting a hot bowl of pho before going back to finish work day. Walked in, sat down, didn't even need the menu, just ordered my usual dish right away. I sat at that table for 45 minutes taking in all the great smelling meals being enjoyed around me and waiting. Other people walked in after me, ordered and were served, and when they were half finished their meals I finally stood up to draw attention to myself so someone would notice that I was still waiting for my food. After finally looking up from behind the counter where she was constantly packing other orders in to-go bags, my server finally realized that I was getting impatient and she told me that my food was coming out right away. Then she came back to tell me that they ran all out of what I had ordered. By this time my lunch break was done and I had to get back to work again, and still completely hungry. She offered me a soft drink to take out the door. How about a gift certificate, or really be a hero and maybe suggest to deliver an alternative meal to my office that's down the street so that I can get back to my work?
