My husband and I chose NOtaBLE to enjoy our 22nd Anniversary, 16 of which married. After hearing great reviews from friends and colleagues we decided to make reservations.* Once arrived, we found parking quite easily as there are lots of options. ✅ We were greeted promptly and taken to our romantic table in a nook, as lovely as the privacy was,,,the size of our actual table was that of our kids craft table! Perfect for a pair only having drinks not for a pair celebrating with all the yummy food and drinks.** The Cocktail menu is great fun and tradition, perfectly balanced. I enjoyed a Lemon lemony lemonade😊 my husband chose an Old Fashioned (were hoping for a table-side glass smoking), alas it was far too sweet. I’d have asked for a new one but my husband never complains. His wine with dinner was a suggested pairing and delicious! We’re the type of people who want to try everything, ordering several starters between the two of us, a main and always dessert to-go. That night we enjoyed the grilled flatbread with a 1/2 bulb of sweet roasted garlic and an olive tapenade that was out of this world! The Parmesan Truffle fries were delicious but I was missing the truffle, I couldn’t taste any but still really yummy parm fries! For my main I dined on true clouds of the most tender Gnocchi I’ve ever eaten.💥 My husband went with the nightly special, a massive Prime Rib with all the fixings; conversation stopped when his plate arrived as he ooohh-ed & ahhh-ed the first 5 solid minutes of devouring his plate, well done Chéf! Our server was very helpful in bringing out boxes for US to package up our large amount of take home items.***She also brought our take home dessert and cheque swiftly. Overall we had a nice meal out, would recommend to friends and family. Fabulous food, good on YOU CHEF!! * Make Reservations. You’re unlikely to get a table in this quaint & highly desirable restaurant. ** I REALLY wanted to give 5⭐️’s however our kiddo table was a bother ALL NIGHT! We were constantly having to shuffle/use the ledge etc. just to accommodate our food from the 1st appy. *** With a 2 top, in the corner, who haven’t complained ONCE/asked for anything special/laughed along with the juggling of space for our food, a cheque $200+ = a $40+ tip you’d think my server would be the one who packs up our food NOT us! I definitely would have knocked 1/2 a ⭐️ if possible.

We had a 6:45 pm reservation last night. Restaurant was not overly busy at all. We were seated to out table right away. The hostess and sever were excellent. Friendly greeting and sever really took the extra effort to accommodate my daughter's dairy and egg allergy. We ordered 3 appetizers. The Caesar salad, Calamari and the Ravioli. The caesar salad was delicious. Had little bits of cured bacon and the the lettuce was roasted a bit to give it a light char flavour. The Calamari was cooked perfectly and the various sauces and little slices of jalapenos gave it a nice kick. The Ravioli was also very good. It was loaded with sea food and the pasta bite was perfect. The creamy sauce was very good with some salmon eggs. After the appetizers the main Entrees took a very long time to get out. We wait over 45 minutes after the appetizers. That is a reason I took a start off cause the food took so long to get out. My half chicken was okay. The legs were very moist but my breast was dry. The mash potatoes were buttery and the green beans gave it some nice crunch. The duck breast was very good. It was cooker perfectly and the flavours were very complex. I had a few bites and I enjoyed it. The Pizza and the Fries were for the kids and it was ok. Fries were a little burnt for my liking. For dessert we had the chocolate pudding. Kids pretty destroyed that. I had one bite and it was very rich in chocolate. Overall it was a very good meal. If the food would have came out faster and my chicken breast was not dry I would have gave this restaurant a higher rating. This restaurant is known for their chicken so to fail on that is a big hit in my books. I think maybe the forced the chicken to cook faster just based off the time it took to come out.

Amazing date night Notable Restaurant My husband and I went on a flavor vacation tonight at Notable, and the first stop was the Embered Oysters. O. M. G. These little beauties left us speechless. They were baked in rich chili garlic butter, with delicate ribbons of spinach. We then both ordered the tenderloin. My husband went for a side of the baked potato, but this wasn’t your average russet with a dollop of sour cream…this was a big, glorious red-skinned potato loaded with house-made sour cream and a bacon vinaigrette that should be its own food group. Every bite was salty, creamy, buttery perfection. He added a horseradish sauce, which was less like the nose-tingling stuff you think of and more like a gravy-meets-horseradish situation. Paired well with anything it touches. I went for the potato gratin, which was life-changing. It was like biting into a cheesy, salty, melt-in-your-mouth potato cloud with the most perfect crusted cheese top. We also ordered the half lobster (flavourfully baked and fell out of the shell) and the beets…which I loved the first couple bites however, I like the earthy taste highlighted and they were glazed in a blueberry maple glaze that was a bit too sweet for me…perfect for my husband. He happily finished them off while I went back to my cheesy cloud. By the end of the night, we were already planning our next visit because our taste buds are basically addicted now. And shoutout to Ashley, our server, who was attentive, hilarious, and the cherry on top of a perfect dinner.

Our anniversary dinner, and first experience at NoTable fell far short of expectations, leaving us quite disappointed.

We made a reservation for 815, showed up at 805 and we're sat immediately. The hostess asked us if we'd like to check out jackets at the front after she brought us to the table.

A little over 5 mins later the server shows up, introduced herseld wished us a happy anniversary (I noted it while booking on the reservation) and asked if we'd like to start with Water ( sparkling or still). Took close to 10 minutes for our water to get to the table. We then ordered a glass of wine, an appetizer, and our mains, Salmon and the lamb.

Pretty quickly the bread and tapinad came out. The bread was a grill fired flat bread. It was nothing special.. too salty for my wife.

We ate a few slices of the flat bread and pushed a side to not fill up. The server noticed this about 5 minutes later and asked if we were ready for our mains.

The lamb shank was a redeeming highlight, tender and flavorful alongside a creamy risotto. Unfortunately, the salmon was a stark contrast. Perched atop a bed of green goddess dressing, the fish itself was bland and uninspired. Undercooked green beans and a watery, oily pool surrounding the dish further detracted from the presentation and taste... To make matters worse, our server was absent for the entire duration of our main course, neglecting to check on our satisfaction. This lack of attention left us feeling abandoned and unimportant

The food was dropped off and the server didn't come back to check on it, until I was completely finished eating. if I was going to raise an issue I would have sat for a while.

Once our plates were cleared, we were presented with a dessert menu and then promptly forgotten. Fifteen minutes passed with no sign of our server, leaving us with nothing but empty water glasses and a growing sense of frustration. Determined to experience the full range of what NoTable had to offer, we eventually ordered the spiced creme brulee. While the accompanying shortbread cookies were delightful, the brulee itself was unremarkable and certainly not something I would recommend. Once again, our server disappeared after delivering the dessert, forcing us to flag down a passing staff member to request our bill.

In my opinion, NoTable is coasting on its reputation of years past as one of the better restaurants in the city and has done nothing to maintain that status. From the inattentive service and lengthy waits to the underwhelming food and uncomfortable seating, this is not a place I would recommend, especially for a special occasion. There are many chain restaurants that offer a far superior dining experience, both in terms of food quality and customer service.

Extra note: I am over 6 ft tall and the table was much too tall for eating comfortably.

Maybe this was a one off, so If I ever do go back, I will be sure to update my review to reflect the...

Patrons beware of shady billing practices, especially if you are a larger group. They will sneak in extra charges in hopes of you not paying attention to the long bill.

We are a group of 11 holding our holiday dinner here, and booked the private room and ordered off a three-course pre-set group menu. The room itself, the furnishing and decor are very outdated, barren, and frankly a little sad, despite the restaurant charging a $150 room rental fee in addition to the minimum spend. I would have brought my own decor if I had known, to avoid the embarrassment. It's a shame considering the main area of the restaurant is quite nice. Drinks are underwhelming. No complaints about the food however, and the server is nice.

The problem arose when I was scrutinizing the bill after paying. For a group of 11, they managed to charge 12 appetizers and 12 entrees. And also sneakily raised the price of the most ordered entree from the price stated on their menu. When I went back to the restaurant to enquire, the server said "this is how it rang up on the computer, but I can refund you and charge you again how you would like." I said it is not "charge what I would like, but rather charge what was actually being ordered and served". The server promptly re-ran the bill, and took off the extra appetizer and extra entree as well as corrected the extra charge on the ribeye. How did she know which extra item to remove? Were the extra items rang in intentionally to begin with? When she handed over the new (correct) bill, she said "to make you happy we took off one scallop and one ribeye, which are the most expensive", as if I was some unreasonable customer making a scene, who needed to be appeased with a discount. Excuse me? You simply CORRECTED the items that you over charged, which happened to be the most expensive!

The correct bill came out to be $200+ less than the first. If I had not looked at each line item, it would have never been caught. It's a shame that Notable, which used to be a well-regarded restaurant in the Calgary food scene, has stooped...
