We were Calgary on this weekend for dog sitting. On Saturday, We had early snack dinner at the Pacific Place Mall before the grocery. The restaurant named Pebble Street. It located right outside the mall and beside Forbidden City Seafood& Dim Sum Restaurant. There are lots of parking spaces for people to park their cars. People can go shopping at the mall, and then find a restaurant to eat. The location is such convenience for people.

We arrived the restaurant around 4:15 pm. Even though it’s very early before the dinner time, the restaurant was still half full already. I couldn’t believe that lots of Chinese people have their dinner this early at the restaurant. We found a table and the waitress brought the menu to our table fast. Then, she began to serve our drinks. The menu was very colorful and each dish has a picture, which made us easier to order the food. There are so many selections on the menu. We couldn’t decide which one we should have. After a few minutes discussed, we decided to order Noodles from this restaurant. The prices of the noodle bowls are about $10 or less, which is a very great deal. I had it’s Beef Flat Noodle Bowl with hot milk tea. My boyfriend ordered Beijing Duck Rice Noodle with cold milk tea. Our noodles came out fast. The noodles were well cooked. Vegetable in the soup was fresh. The soups were very hot and tasty. I believe both of them used the same chicken soup base. Each bowl had lots of meat. Both noodles bowls were large portion so delicious and tasty. We ate them all. My hot milk tea was OK. It was very simple, which tasted like Milk + Tea. My boyfriend’s cold milk tea was very different from mine. It was super delicious and had very strong flavors. The whole meal cost us $19 include the tax. Add the tips, we spent $21. It’s such a great experience at Pebble Street. We enjoy our dinner there. Definitely, we should come back to this...

Me and my family couldn’t find any other place to eat and eventually came across this restaurant. As we were seated, it took almost 20 minutes before a waiter came to take our order. Then, another following 30 minutes passed and ONLY one of the dishes we ordered came. And so it repeated, the same thing for our other three dishes. We had atleast a 20-30 minute wait in between each dish. Sure, this would be a bit more reasonable if the restaurant was busy but it wasn’t fully packed, which is what threw me off. And not to mention, there were barely any waiters who were walking around to each table so we had to go up to them ourselves, and not to mention one of the waiters’ passive aggressive attitude. Sorry that we asked to get some utensils and a bigger plate than those tiny bowls, alongside some salt and pepper? The service is trash, the wait is so long, the food wasn’t even that good in the end. If you’re looking for a place to eat and are pretty hungry and value actual customer service in a restaurant, this is most definitely not the place to eat at. This is my first and last visit at this excuse of a restaurant and I advise people to not...

Similar to my experience at Yuu Seafood in the other side, I had a very bad experience with the servers and the food. DO NOT waste your time here.

My party and I initially wanted to try the AYCE dim sum at Yuu Seafood, but it didn’t start until 5PM. So we went here for dim sum per order. We marked the piece of paper and showed the server, but she looked confused and didn’t seem to understand our order though it was clearly marked. She didn’t go over every single item we marked like how other restos would normally do it, so we were left to assumed our order was all good. Later on, we noticed she didn’t enter all that we ordered, so I had to go to our server to let her know.

As for the service, it was all garbage. Very painfully slow and the servers had a very bad attitude. No care at all for their customers. Food wasn’t special. Very bland, no unique taste at all.

Surprised this place is still open tbh. I’ve been here a couple years ago and it wasn’t a pleasant experience as well. Dont bother trying this place out,...

Came here for lunch but felt we are unwelcome customers. After sat down, the waitresses passed by us many times and seemed to focus on delivering food to the other tables but not ask for if we were ready to order, even we closed up our menu and looked for their attention steadily. Conversations with waitress were unpleasant. Initially, I'd like to tip 25% because of Christmas holiday(Dec.24), but finally I change my mind to tip 15% only. Not recommend this restaurant if you'd like to get a normal Canadian style service. The meal I ordered was pretty good, I have to note it.

Pre pandemic, they had a dish called baked rice with chicken in Japanese cheese sauce. That dish was beyond amazing. The chicken is braised and seared perfectly. Every grain of rice was flavoured with an amazing sweet sauce and topped with carrots, corn, and green onion. They charged 18$ for it and I would have been happy to pay 40$. Nowadays, that dish is gone and this restaurant has gone back to overpriced mediocre food. The staff have always been kind but if you go here, expect that the food doesn't match what they charge. Sad.
