Quesada Burritos and Tacos — Restaurant in Calgary

You might be thinking: Pretty harsh Manfred, one star? Are you kidding me? The food here is hot, fresh and satisfying, made to order with a smile and alacrity, how can this possibly be a bad review?

Well, sadly this is a wretched and terrible review, and if I have any sway whatsoever, I would strongly recommend that people should never, ever come to this place. Such a shame, because the quesadilla was fantastic, as were the tacos; as was the service. In fact, the service was so good, and the employee so helpful, that I felt compelled to leave a handsome tip when prompted to do so by the payment machine. I'm not made of money, but I do appreciate when a customer service representative goes beyond the call of duty to make my experience so much better than expected.

But here's the thing: as the receipt printed, and my server looked at the receipt, he said, "Oh my, that's a good tip, nobody ever gives that much."

I responded, "You deserve it sir, thanks again."

"I don't get it," he said back.

"You did a good job, what's to get?"

"No, no, I don't get it. I won't get that money from the machine."

I was dumbfounded. "You won't get the tip I just gave you?"

"Correct sir."

"Well who gets it?" I demanded.

My server paused for a moment before answering. "The owner I guess," he said quietly. "It's better just not to tip sir, unless you wish to put coins in our tip jar."

"I am very sorry to hear that," I said. "Thanks again for the grub."

I left the store with a growing shadow of anger because of this ugliness, which can be simply described with words such as exploitation and greed. Can you imagine being so soulless a business owner that you could rationalize both deceiving your customers and stealing from your employees at the same time? Despicable!

Perhaps worse still, is that with the power of this review, my server just might get in trouble for what he said to me. He might even get fired. If this is the case I hope he will forgive me, and I hope he will move on with his work and find an employer who values his skills and service with due respect and appropriate compensation.

Once again, I will never eat here again and I hope you...

Went there on September 13th at 10:50pm, checking reviews that this place is good, order burrito bowl, it’s a simple veggie bowl I ordered, two people were working, guy asked me I can select my own sauces and I was looking at them, then he asked “how do you want your bowl to be?” I responded “little spicy and little creamy” I do not know what he did or add, I took first bite and it was so spicy I was like, maybe it’s jalapeño I ate or something, I wait took sip of water and tried again and it was so spicy that I could not take more than three bites , asked my friend to taste it and he couldn’t eat it matter fact he eats lots of spicy food and he told me it’s way too spicy, went to people who were working there and asked if they can replace it? That Punjabi girl said add sour cream, but we won’t be replacing food, the one I paid for but I can’t even eat, guy didn’t let me choose sauces, and that Punjabi girl was taking in Punjabi saying “add more toppings and sour cream and give it to them” and they made it so worse that I had to throw it in garbage and that girl was just giggling about it, such a poor customer service and worse experience, guy was not even ready to talk or nothing! Will never go here ever again coz at this time of the day all I wanted was a decent food for myself and I just pay for entire meal to throw it in garbage!

I order food quite often, but this is the first time i’ve ever felt the need to leave such a review. we ordered a chicken burrito and nachos, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. the burrito was surprisingly small and arrived torn, with the filling spilling out from the side. still, the burrito was not the worst part. the nachos were by far the most disappointing i’ve ever had — completely soggy, with barely any toppings. as shown in the attached photo, we didn’t even touch the dish — the condition of the chips made it instantly unappetizing. there was no crunch, no texture, and barely any cheese or other ingredients. the only positive thing we can mention are the two side sauces. after trying a few bites, we ended up throwing the rest in the trash. to top it all off, we found the bottom of the box was cut through — something we definitely didn’t cause, and there was no paper between the food and the bottom to prevent this. honestly, this felt like a waste of money. we were left hungry and very disappointed, especially for a saturday evening. i hope this feedback is taken seriously, because this level of quality is not what we expect when ordering from a...
