This place used to be 5 stars but ever since new owners took over this place kind of went down hill. The food isn’t has good. Me and my family go there just about almost every Saturday or Sunday, sometimes both. The broth isn’t has good anymore, especially for Tom yum and the seafood Laksa taste very water down. It’s like they don’t want to make a new batch of broth. I had it the last 3 time and no taste, very little. Also very cheap on the noodles, even when you pay the full price not the promo price. Today I decided to give it another try since my son loves going there and we got there at 7:15pm, I went to order and the girl told me they are not making anything except appetizers and they still had 45 mins before closing. I mean we could have sat on the other side no problem. Very lazy workers today and bad service. If they continue to do this, this place is gonna lose a-lot of customers. I don’t think I’ll be back...
Read moreDespite rude workers I kept coming back for the amazing beef skewers. They were well marinated and just enough meat on the skewers to make for a great snack/meal. The last few times however I've gone to pick up my regular beef skewers, I've been shocked at the lack of well, beef! At first I thought it must have been a mistake but now I'm thinking otherwise... I am attaching pictures of the skewers that I received today and NO they haven't been messed with. This is what they gave me. This is what my money paid for. The meat is so thin it's almost paper and is very dry and chewy. There is hardly no flavor and no marinade, but let's face it, there's barely anything there to marinade. It didn't used to be this way, I don't know what's going on, but I am tired of flushing my money away with getting rude service and BARELY any food. This is disgraceful and I will no longer be ordering from here. They've just...
Read moreAlthough I see that this place has been given overwhelmingly positive reviews, I hate to say that I can't do the same.
I ordered the Hainanese chicken rice and I was quite disappointed by it. The coconut rice was cold, hard, old, barely palatable, and didn't have a coconut taste at all. Now I am not sure if the chicken in this dish is also supposed to be served cold, but even if it was, the chicken had a jelly-like texture that was hard to swallow. Nothing to remark about the vegetables - literally plain, cut, dry lettuce, carrots, and cucumbers. The sweet chili sauce was also one that you can buy from any Asian store and was not made in-house. The only positive was that the cashier was friendly!
Perhaps it's not fair for me to judge a restaurant on just one dish, so I'll try to come back and try something...
