Going back again and again. First of all, I would like to address the other reviews here about food quality and tell you to notice that they are all very old reviews and have CLEARLY changed the cooks as the food was AMAZING. HOWEVER, there still is a waitress problem as I noticed that all 3 waitresses I could see from my section were wasted. I personally thought it went well with the night and found entertainment value in it because it WAS St. Patrick's day when we went, but the service lacked because of it. Our waitress forgot at least one drink at our table every time she brought them and I had to actually walk over to her where she was sitting down with some friends to ask her for more refills of green beer (another cool thing there, they had green beer in whatever brand u wanted) because she hadn't come by to check on us. She was also so drunk that her writing was illegible (I saw it) to the point that the cook made the wrong meal, but he was quick to make my burger to replace the random pile of beef he brought out and gave us a free poutine for the table because of the mistake. She was very friendly, though, and if you called her on a mistake she jumped right up and corrected it with a smile on her face and warm demeanour and apologized the way she should have. Now for the food: We ordered 50 wings, half medium Buffalo, half salt and pepper, and not only were they delicious but they were massive. No small wings here. They stayed crispy down to the last bite and were covered with the perfect amount of seasoning/hot sauce. I also ordered a bacon cheeseburger which was delicious but I'm pretty positive it was a pre-frozen patty. Nothing special about it but it was cooked and seasoned perfectly and they didn't skimp on the bacon and cheese, and the veggies were fresh and ripe so I give it a thumbs up. My girl ordered chicken strips and fries and HO-LY, were they ever good. Best I've ever had. They are made from fresh chicken and it is clear that the cook takes pride in them as the breading was noticeably of his own making and they were crispy, juicy, and cooked perfectly AND they were massive. This place WANTS to fill you up with good food. Also, I would like to point out that the Caesar salad here was fantastic. I love Caesar salad and make my own dressing at home from time to time (much harder than it would seem) and these guys got it down right. I also hate when they give you a Caesar salad with super hard and almost impossible-to-eat crutons but NOT here. They were crispy all the way through but required no strain on the jaw or teeth to eat. All in all, this is my new favourite pub because of the food. Seriously, eat here. Just don't expect the...
Read moreWent for brunch today, and was surprised when they asked my adult autistic son for his ID. It was 10:30am, and we were on the patio with friends trying to order French Toast. Despite allowing minors in, they refused to serve him, and advised me he would have to leave. We werenât drinking alcohol, gambling, and he had a screen capture of his government issued ID. Apparently because he looked under 25, they refused him service, and as a result my son in-law (who was also under 25 and not asked for ID), my son and I had to leave. The server and manager refused to accept a screen capture of his ID, despite this being the very form of ID that was required and accepted during covid. Also, being a disabled adult, he has no drivers license, and he understands that I will be paying for him. The lack of common sense and discretion your staff showed today was absolutely shameful. Feel free to keep asking those who appear to be less than 25 for their ID when they are in your licensed establishment. However, keep in mind that when a group are coming in for breakfast, and sitting on your patio, logic would suggest that this isnât the drinking and gambling hour. Your flat out refusal to look at my (almost 19 year old) sons Alberta ID on his phone demonstrated possibly the worst customer service I have ever seen. Hiding behind the suggestion that an AGLC investigator might come in at 10:30am on a Saturday morning and fine you, was not only laughable, but suggested they too would lack the good sense to know that my son was in fact an adult, had government issued ID, and was only there to enjoy a breakfast. Iâll never walk through your...
Read moreThis place lately has not been worth it. Few months ago everything was 10/10.
Lately I have been disappointed. My last 2 visits have sucked.
Served halfway frozen mashed potatoes and ended up having to eat at McDonalds.
Yesterday, we came by to celebrate my birthday.
Drinks took 15 minutes to get to us, and we waited about 30-40 minutes for our food after ordering. Took our server ( well servers) 20 minutes to come by for refills. Walked by us numerous times and nothing. We didnât even know who our actual server was as we had 3 different ones.
The ketchup in the bottles is clearly watered down as ketchup is not that thin. I know inflation is bad but seriously, water down your ketchup? Do better. I got served ranch that was out for so long there was a thick layer of skin on it.
I got the cheesecake for dessert asked for no berry sauce caramel only. Came out with berry sauce. Sent it back and took another 15 mins. When I asked about, I had to flag her down she didnât even come to my table she just yelled at me from 25 feet away. How is that appropriate to treat your guests?
We were there for a total of 1:45 (One hour fourth five minutes) for dinner. It wasnât even that busy.
My brother in law is the one who paid and due to the poor service only left a 5% tip which our server was clearly disgusted by as we could hear her complaining about us to the other server and saw her blatantly staring at us.
Seriously disappointed in this place lately itâs starting to g...
