Just returned from dinner with a few friends (5 of us total). To put it bluntly, the dinner was an absolute disaster tonight. We arrived shortly after 6PM and put in an order for drinks first, then around 630 put in our food order (nachos to start and individual entrees).
It took over an hour before one of the servers came by to let us know the kitchen was well behind, as there was only 2 people working supposedly. What made matters worse was there were people (smaller parties) arriving well after us that somehow got their food before our table? It wasn’t particularly busy on the patio tonight, we were one of 4 tables when we arrived, so to see that happen was quite upsetting.
Another half hour goes by, past 8pm now, and we haven’t received even the nachos yet. We ended up just telling the servers to cancel the food if they haven’t been made yet and we’ll just be on our way. But surprisingly they had the food being prepped by then, so ultimately they came out with a bunch of takeout boxes, including the nachos. We just promptly asked to get the bill.
In the time it took to get our bills, we ended up finishing the nachos (gives you an idea just how slow everything was this evening).
All of us live in the neighborhood so we figured it was a good choice for a casual dinner and drinks with friends, but the level of service we experienced tonight is one of the worst I’ve ever had.
I don’t put all the blame on the young staff working tonight, because they could only do so much with the amount of people they had on hand and the training they were provided. This fiasco falls on the shoulders of management in my eyes. The servers failed to recognize the complete failure of tonight and didn’t even so much as compensate us for a round of drinks or nachos. (We paid full price on the entirety of our bill…)
I get the staff was young, but that can’t be an excuse. The treatment we received just screams poor training in customer service.
You have a perfect evening weather-wise, in the midst of summer and nestled in a busy community and you fail to have the foresight to have more staff on hand to handle the dinner rush? Unbelievable. Servers failing to recognize patrons have waited well past the point of acceptable and don’t even offer a smidge of compensation? Atrocious.
I don’t like leaving significantly negative reviews, but tonight well warranted this. It will take a good long while before I have any desire to...
Read moreOn Wednesday May 14, 2025 I had called the restaurant before hand to find out if they take reservations because it was for an event with around 20 people. When the lady on the other end answered she had told me that they don’t take reservations on Wednesday’s because of their wing night promo, they instead said I can come into the restaurant and join the waitlist if there was one at the time and wait to be seated which I had no problem with because they had also mentioned that there was also no group capacity. However, upon arrival at the restaurant when I asked for a table for 20 people she said that she wouldn’t seat 20 people and the max she would seat was 10 people because the restaurant was busy. I understood this however, the majority of the back row was empty and could more than accommodate us which I had mentioned and she then replied and said that she didn’t want us to take up the whole back row because it would cause other customers to have to wait. Not sure how this can be an issue if we are also paying customers? Later on in the night a table had cleared and we had asked if we could also use that table because we had a few people who had just came however our table was already full. Another waitress then replied and said that the table was reserved which confused me because they said they didn’t do reservations on Wednesday’s when I called earlier? Furthermore, about an hour and a half had passed and no-one had come to sit at the table so it was clear this was some sort of retaliation. To end it off when it came time to pay a couple of my friends were leaving to go wait outside as I was paying the bill then we were leaving. Suddenly the waitress rushed over and said no-one can leave until we pay, which I then replied and said i’m paying the bill so its okay, she then said okay I just have to make sure you stay because I need this bill paid in full. This took me back at first but I didn’t pay much mind. However, at the till to pay the waitress had also said to me if i’m sure I can pay the bill after showing me the total, to this I was taken back because I understand you want the bill paid but why have to question if I can pay it? overall this experience was absolutely terrible definitely dont go with a...
Read moreWe had such an odd mosaic experience here.
We came with a group of 6 and tried to call ahead to reserve a seat on the patio but were told it was first come first serve so we came and waited only 15 minutes or so and the wait staff was very sweet and pushed tables together and accommodated us.
We had a group of people who had just flown in for a memorial for a death in the family. We had a slight delay while my kiddo was trying to determine what they wanted to eat and half the table ordered before the other half.
Multiple whole meals did not come, one from the early order and one from the later order. Multiple things were wrong with the order; wrong soup, steak medium-well when med-rare was ordered, wrong soup, etc.
I’m pretty convinced the server was doing the best she could and the food was actually ordered but the kitchen seems like it crashed. We cancelled the two meals that never came after ab an hr.
The macaroni and cheese was lovely and the mushroom soup was fantastic. The meat (both steak and ribs) was too well done and not cooked well. The fries were perfection. The mocktails were tasty and well mixed. As someone who’s put a lot of hrs in at restaurants and bars it’s obvious that the kitchen was just having an off night. The menu obviously has potential.
Half way through the night when going to the bathroom we discovered one of stalls to be out of toilet paper and the supervisor happened to come in during that visit and I told her and then at the end my kids and I ended up with an allergic reaction (probably to palm oil) to the tiramisu, which I frankly should have checked the ingredients better. The toilet paper had still not been replaced, as I warned another customer she might need to grab some from a friend.
I’m willing to chalk it all up to training new staff and the first busy patio day of the season. But some areas definitely...
