So here a review on food, service, cleanliness (washrooms, tables, floor, entrance), and environment.
Food: Where to start! Food was amazing!!!!! You cannot go wrong if you picked to eat here. First time going and will be coming back for the food for sure. delicious, pasta cooked al dente (just perfect) -I ordered the featured dish of the week ,the shrimp and scallops rosé sauce with fettuccine. The sauce was smooth and not too acidic. You could taste the freshness of it, onions or shallots and other Italian spices into the sauce. It wasn't like those súper creamy sauces but rather thick. -warning: you will get super full and might not be able to finish the whole dish, so there might be some leftovers for you to enjoy after ;) -appetizers were good as well. We recommended the portobello mushrooms. I wasn't to impress with the calamari in sauce dish. dessert : well we were all so full but we had to try at least one of their dessert as we. We're impressed with the main dishes and appetizers. We went for the made in the house cheesecake and yep it was pretty tasty. -overall food quality and taste is superb!
SERVICE: our server that night was Ricardo. He was very professional and very polite and respectful. He made our date night with our friends very easy going in regards to what to pick and how to replace ingredients. He could read our body language whenever we needed anything and he just didn't dissapeared alike other servers in other upscale restaurants. He was the type of server who made you feel like a valuable customer and who would make appropriate jokes and comments. What a difference it makes to have a good waiter or waitress! I was very pleased and would like to recommend him of you guys are planning to go on a date or business meeting.
-on a not very good note: there was another person working that night and I'm glad he wasn't serving user that we needed to interesact with this worker. I could easily hear him swearing as he was frustrated with one of his job tasks. I don't think it was appropriate. Our table could hear him every time he was walking by talking alone and just swearing.
ENVIRONMENT AND CLEANLINESS
-clean entrance, clean and set up tables when you arrive. Floors were clean. -very cozy and has that European vibe. -washrooms were clean and properly supplied. -in case you or your guests need accesible washrooms , they have one washroom upstairs for people in wheelchair or other physical disability. Good thing since their washrooms are on a lower level. -Music... well I bit monotonous as they wouldn't change the cd. We listened the same songs for the three and half hours we were there. There were only 10 songs on that cd I think... please Little Firenze extended the playlist ;) BUt music was very appropriate for a cozy Italian dinner. There was Bossa Nova, Boccelli, Portuguese jazz songs and those type of songs... I really like the music style.
-I personally highly recommend trying...

If you are celebrating a special occasion or make any special requests while at this restaurant, you will be IGNORED and given exactly what you DO NOT want.
My son died a month ago and yesterday would have been his “champagne” birthday, which my family and I had gone to celebrate at Villa Firenze (my first time there). When I asked to be seated at another table that would be quieter (pointing out the vacant, preferred location), the manager instead put us at a table that was no quieter and now in the dark (which was even worse!), stating that the one I wanted was no better. I guess that was her showing me who was boss, instead of giving me the table I had pointed out - which remained empty for the duration we were in their restaurant (2.5 hours).
The server was also a bully, staring me down when I told her that the manager had “turned me off” and I therefore wanted nothing when it came time to order. She just smiled at me and very curtly said “yes I know”, glaring at me until I had to turn my gaze away from her, she was just plain scary! I cannot believe how cold and callous the staff at Villa Firenze are!! When I told the server about the “special” birthday celebration it was to be for my son (him dying a month ago, etc), she said she’d tell the manager but yet no apology or acknowledgement for their actions was ever received.
I will NEVER go back to this restaurant. I was mortified at their behaviour and callous treaatment in my time of angst - we had just come from completing a balloon release at the cemetery for my son. What should have been a nice, relaxing dinner during a very stressful time, was an...
