This is the 2nd tallest building in Calgary (with 58 storeys) at 236 meters high, behind only the Brookfield place building, which has 56 storeys, but stands at 247 meters. It's an architectural master piece and has the wonderland sculpture right in front of it. The wonderland sculpture is made of steel fabrication and shows the depiction of a young female, human face. When you get to the top of the building, you get a chance to see alot of downtown Calgary and environs. It's definitely one of the visual prides of the Calgary skyline. At 236 meters high, it is a mere 14 meters higher than the 3rd tallest building in Calgary, the Telus Sky, which stands at 222 meters high, but with 60 storeys. It sure looks like the higher the building, the less the storeys, going by these 3 buildings....... hopefully there's an explanation for that. 🤔😊
Interesting Architectural building, with a Mesh Figurine in front. It is home to 2 Oil & Gas Corps. Tall crescent shape modern looking building, with 58 stories. Nice addition to d/ town Calgary. See pictures...Great views of 24 & 25th floors and of D/town at night. (Per Wikipedia)The Bow is a 158,000-square-metre (1,700,000 sq ft) office building in downtown Calgary, Alberta. The 236 metre (774 ft) building is currently the second tallest office tower in Calgary, and the third tallest in Canada outside Toronto. The Bow was completed in 2012 and was ranked among the top 10 architectural projects in the world of that year.
We went to Calgary a few weeks ago as a day trip (a part of our trip to the canadian rockies) and I saw that we could apparently get to the top. We visited the sculpture at its base which was gorgeous and that was fun but when we got inside I asked directions to a security agent and she told us the top floors were close to the public and/or unavailable (because of COVID). It was a deception but overall it’s a cool building and it looks like a celery. It’s also close to multiple other interesting locations in downtown Calgary so it wasn’t a big detour.
The building is well taken care of. The security staff are friendly. There are several shops and bathrooms available. The plus fifteen extends throughout. The escalators function well. There is lots of seating to have lunch. The elevators are very convenient and the views from the 54th floor are stunning. Its been a great experience getting the opportunity to work in this building.
