Fresh Hot & Healthy — Restaurant in Calgary

This place is a scam. I was ordering directly from the menu, in front of the girl who was taking my order and was even pointing to item by item on the menu. After I paid for it and she went to prepare the food I realized she charged me 13% more than she should have. I mentioned that to her upon which she shocked me with a reply that the prices went up and the price on the menu is not the price at the moment!? So it looked like the prices went up within those 10 seconds between the time I finished telling my order and the time she processed my visa payment. I stated to the lady she could not charge more than what it said on the menu she gave me but she seemed not moved by that.

Still in disbelief I repeated it and she finally returned the difference but not before getting very pissed off and rude about it. She by the way returned just the net difference in the cost of food, without the GST, no sorry, no apology. I let her steal the GST because I just wanted to finish with it.

The meal itself was a disappointment by itself. Very dry, no flavour, very sugary but hot making for a quite strange combination.

So, I can understand there are people in this industry who can not cook and who are rude. But scamming customers and stealing from them is...

When we came in, the place was very smokey. It happens, but the smoke didn’t seem to dissipate at all during our visit. We customized our own food, and the cashier demanded to know what my partner meant by a “tossed wrap.” As someone who has been going to Freshii for years, I know that you can just put the wrap insides into a bowl and toss it. She didn’t let me explain, and got very rude. Both people working were wearing disgustingly filthy shirts covered in food and other things. Again I understand that this is a good establishment, but this was an unsettling level of stain. Never the less, we paid and waited for our food. The person making our food seemed sick, and kept sneezing. Gross. Once we got our food, there was a ridiculous amount of spinach in my partners wrap, and barely any other ingredients. My tofu bowl was disgusting. Massive chunks of near uncooked tofu, and maybe a squirt of dressing. As previously stated, I’ve been a customer for years, but I promise I will never be visiting this location again. Please explain customer service to your workers, fix the smoke problem and get better...

Have had a few issues with orders here before (slow, missed add-ons), but nothing like today. Ordered online and arrived at the store when my food was supposed to be ready according to the app confirmation. Waited 20+ minutes while the single staff member continued to take orders from guests who walked in the door after me. She barely acknowledged me, just said “two more orders before you,sorry”. I asked if they always prioritize walk-in orders over online orders, and she said yes. What if people keep coming in , would I just never get my food? When she finally served every other person in the building, including two guys who came in after me, got their food, ate and had left, she started preparing my order. But of course then she tells me one of the items (tacos) aren’t available…. I asked for a refund back to my credit card, which she didn’t know how to do, so she handed me back cash. It was the wrong amount (didn’t account for service charges and gst). It’s too bad this is one of the only places to get decent healthy take-out....
