Cambridge Pizza — Restaurant in Cambridge

This is a review of a delivery. On the one hand, the delivery was very prompt and the food was very well prepared. On the other hand, the "very mild" we were promised was too spicy for even me (I like spicy!) much less my partner (she doesn't!) This was a butter chicken pizza. Butter chicken is typically mild, and we were also assured the pizza would be mild. This pizza burned the mouth. All they need is a spice blend not overloaded with hot pepper, and an honest description when we asked. The wings were sublime. But the "dipping sauce" was poured on top, drowning them. Maybe my fault for assuming "dipping" means you dip the wing in the sauce if you optionally want sauce. In any case, we weren't asked. Other places, in my experience, always ask. Finally, the "contact-free" delivery wasn't. I had to swipe my credit card in a pinpad held by an unmasked delivery man. (Our household has a case of covid we're trying not to spread or exacerbate.) So ... the menu is exciting, the food prep is exceptional, but they completely failed to deliver on expectations. This should be easy to fix and I hope they will. (From here is an edit from after the restaurant's comment: just to be clear, we specified twice that we required "very mild". I was very clear and careful about that. Even at that, butter chicken in North America is generally a very mild seasoned food. Personally, I was a little disappointed about what Cambridge Pizza turned out to be, but that is just me personally. We drove up to Cambridge to catch a convenient movie screening time and wanted to try something local. Cambridge Pizza initially sounded like it was some in-town eatery with a rich, local history, but that was not the case. The place was very commercialized with all the similar aesthetics as to what you can expect to find in a Pizza Pizza or Little Caesar's.

The menu was decent because there are a lot of food bundle choices you can go with. There are several ways you can mix and match an order of pizza, chicken wings, and garlic bread. I felt that our server was taking the easy way out in order suggestions by always pushing one of the order bundles to us (I think it was #5). I was able to observe this by overhearing the server also recommening the same bundle to an online caller who was placing an order.

Good thing the food was great. The chicken wings come with all the usual sauce choices of honey garlic, BBQ, etc. There are a variety of pizza toppings, 2 of which are halal options: chicken and pepperoni. Their medium pizza was a good serving size, so we were still able to take it home. The pizza surprisingly still holds well with subsequent reheating in a microwave. I ordered a pizza for delivery. When I opened the box, it looked like the delivery driver had carried the pizza side ways and ran to my house. Half of my pizza was completely naked, all of the toppings slid right off the pizza and made a complete mess of the box. I tried to eat what I could. Their sauce is thin like water and the pizza itself was by far the worst pizza I've ever eaten. If I could not even use the star rating program I would give it 0 stars. I will absolutely never eat this pizza again. Which is sad. Because they used to actually be good. I dont know what happened over the past few years but it's awful. I don't write reviews but to deliver such a poorly handled item, it needs to be said. The worst pizza experience of my life. Don't even bother to waste your money.

I dont know how to respond so I'll edit my original post. It was ordered from what I believe is the original location on Dunbar and hespeler road. And I most certainly do not want the pizza to be brought to me again. I will have no further business with your company. And your driver needs to be trained how to handle food properly. Because this was the most displaced looking pizza I'd ever seen and I've generyinly dropped a pizza in the box...
