I really wanted to give this location a good review. I ordered 2 mcflurries and was handed the containers completely covered in icecream. Just a mess. I pointed it out, asked for some napkins and the person at the counter handed me napkins and said nothing. I wiped down the containers myself which took a few minutes and the manager on duty noticed and snapped at his staff. He apologized and handed me a little card in the shape of a Big Mac that said “enjoy a Big Mac or any entree of your choice.”
I thought this was great and left happy. Today I came in to cash the card in and was VERY disappointed in the response I got. For one, it’s good for a sandwich only apparently. Any entree doesn’t mean a full entree. Just a sandwich. So I asked to try the Big Arch. It’s new and I usually don’t like spending money on something I may not like. But this was a free offering due to their negligence so why not.
The girl at the counter told me no. She said the card was only good for the least expensive entrees like a Big Mac, mcchicken or nuggets. I pointed out that the card said “ANY entree of your choice” with zero stipulations saying “but not really. Just the cheap ones” and she came back saying no still. I pushed the subject and she went to ask her manager. The on duty manager said no as well. When I continued to point out the cards wording she caved and said “ok. Only this one time”… like she was doing me a favour. I just want you to stick to what the card says. Either way I got the sandwich.
I then asked how much extra to upgrade to a combo. The girl at the counter said “because you got the expensive sandwich, you have to buy the fries and drink separately. I won’t be giving a combo upgrade.”
Terrible customer service. Just pushing at every single moment of what was supposed to be an apology for serving an...
Read moreThey are doing The international menu heist. It's fantastic idea. Because, I want to try different countries menus. The burger from Germany was great!!! Hash brown, bacon and cheese in there. It was a great combination. And I can taste black pepper too. And I was so excited to eat Teriyaki chicken from Japan. But, it was not the same as the Japanese taste. But, it was too much sauce. So, I can't even put it in the box. Because, if I put it in the box then I can't pick it up again. It was too much sauce. Slip down by hands. So, it was difficult to hold and eat too. In Japan they have two different teriyaki sandwiches. This is a one of teriyaki. And then the other one is a pork patty teriyaki burger. Anyway, the sauce is different. It was too sweet and too much. This taste is not teriyaki to me. It's "Mitarashi dango" (rice cake/ mochi skewer. It's a traditional Japanese sweet) taste and thickness too. But, the chicken was great! For Pizza bites I am not recommended. Because, 4pc for $4.49 You can get pizza pots at the grocery store. There is cheaper and more sauce in there too. Garlic mayo sauce from U.K. It was just okay. The taste was like a shawarma garlic sauce with a little bit of lemon juice. If dipping pizza bites it was good too. Biscoff McFlurry from Belgium. I don't like cinnamon so normally I don't eat this cookie. But, somehow it was less cinnamon. So, if someone doesn't like cinnamon like me try it. It was not bad. The strawberry cheesecake McFlurry for a limited edition. It was just okay. I love cheesecake. So, I was excited to try but I can't taste any cheesecake. It was just cookie dough and strawberry jam. So, I'm a little bit disappointed. But, I love this idea. They can sell menus from different countries!!!!! So, please do it...
Read moreRegardless of what food you order or the quantity- always expect to get to the 2nd window & be asked to park in one of their designated waiting spots. They have several. It won't be because your food is being prepared or they're waiting on a fresh batch of anything - it's simply because the franchise has a competition for the fastest restaurant. This involves all of the McDonald's locations [at least within the region; possibly a larger area, but the tri-cities for sure]. Their times are not realistic even for a robot to be accurate & considering I have parked and waited 5 minutes for a single Happy Meal I. Was. Pissed. it is obviously giving them a false sense of pride, because they aren't working hard enough to achieve those unrealistic times, and are still the #1 location. This has encouraged other locations to start parking customers for an order of 1 item.
Once they park you, you're no longer a priority because their time has stayed so low & they can take their sweet time preparing your order while you watch as they park every single car and slowly start to bring orders out at their convenience. The locations and employees that actually have realistic times, work hard under the pressure of rush times & chaos and do so without faking their times by parking everyone should be the ones rewarded - not the ones lying and cheating to be on top as long as this store has. Your customers should be your top priority- not faking times to pretend you're the fastest store...
