Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Cambridge

This location is definitely busy but I never sit for too long. I'm mainly a drive thru customer and have had a few different employees serve me. Personally I know I will get exceptional service if Donovan is at the window. I recently asked what his name for this review, as I feel he has a great personality and I wanted to share my thoughts. Donovan welcomes me with his "Well...hello, how are you this morning?" greeting. Donovan takes his job seriously and I appreciate the daily smile. There are too many young workers in the service industry who absolutely hate their jobs and it shows in how they present themselves.

My suggestion to them, look at everyone you meet and know not everyone is having a great day ... with only a few words you can brighten it... don't be surprised when you see a smile once in a while. Don't get me wrong i know all too well, reading all these reviews that customers can be ignorant and in my opinion ... childish adults who obviously have perfect lives and never get questioned by customers or their boss .. yes that was sarcasm.

My point is, I appreciate it when I know I have a hard day ahead and someone takes the few seconds to hand me my coffee and say "Have a great day, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow" Good Job Donovan, I hope others will follow your lead. Definately an exciting lunch today. I suggest the first round special. Im just a patron.but what I saw today was getting outta hand with a few students.so when I saw the safety of one or two of the staff starting to get abused and shoved I had to step in .I walked up to the student who was aggressive and wanting to continue with the tassel .and just flat out told him to leave the property in order to not spoil the operuntiy of comming to Timms for lunch for the other students I don't or didn't care what it was about as long as it didn't occur there or with a physical fight .while I'm trying to have a nice lunch with my daughter ..the kid took my advise and left .problem was deffused I spoke to principal of school about . .no one got physically hurt over the event. Glad all is safe and ok with Timms staff. And students. Really ironic .the conversation my daughter and I were having while eating lunch at Timms before all this started........bullying...we met for lunch to discuss an event that happened earlier on that morning when she was getting bullied by another student .so I said be the bigger person and ignore it all as it's just hurtful words ......if you allow them to be. ... So I guess the lesson here is .get offthe couch and get outta the house you never know what fun u can have in your day. Just kidding... Here how bout...
