I’ll start off by saying I love A&W, am a HUGE Fan and eat it regularly. I have never had a bad experience with an A&W until this location… this A&W location puts the others to shame… We stopped a couple months ago and there were people inside yet there was a sign on the door stating that drive thru only… I had a newborn with me and needed to use the washroom to change him. I was just going to change him & eat in the car… but the drive thru was also blocked off… we watched many cars come and go as it was Lunch time on a weekend… what a loss of money A&W and experienced on that one… Today we stop and decide to go thru the drive thru… there were no cars in the parking lot and 2 people eating inside… maybe that should have alerted us to how terrible this location is… They were out of CO2; so our options with apple and orange juice… who the heck wants A&W without A&W rootbeer, but we were commited at this point, ordered 2 chicken burgers & 2 onion rings.. which came to $30+… we get to the window of the NEARLY empty location and wait 15 minutes for our food. The employee working must’ve been high as he wished us a happy easter on September 10th. We pull into the parking lot to eat and it was obvious that these has been sitting.. the onion rings had next to know breading left on them and were burnt and coated in oil… I can only imagine they were already prepared and thrown back into the fryer to warm up… they also weren’t seasoned at all… They turned one of my favourite things into a disgusting mess…. They also supplied us with fries randomly in our bag… which would’ve been nice… if they weren’t pure oil and unsalted… … We use casselman as our stop point between 2 locations on our regular drive… and we will NEVER stop at this A&W location again… it’s unfortunate as we would prefer A&W to Mcdonalds anyday of the week…. But Mcdonalds in casselman will get our business going forward.
I never review restaurants but I recommend to avoid this location… its a huge waste of money,...

I recently visited A&W on Labor Day, and my experience left me with mixed feelings.
Firstly, I noticed that the staff were all quite young, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it did make me wonder about their experience. When I placed my order, there was a mix-up right from the start. The gentleman who took my order failed to punch in one of the burgers I requested, which led to some confusion later on.
When my wife decided to correct and asked for an extra item, we asked for a quick recommendation. The staff member suggested fries, which seemed reasonable. However, when my wife inquired about a different option, she was only offered a Coke, which left us a bit puzzled.
Things took a turn for the worse when I received my order. I had asked for a "Chubby Chicken," but to my surprise, I was served a different burger. When I brought this to the attention of another staff member, she explained that she thought I had ordered a "Chubby Beef," a menu item that I couldn't find when I checked online later.
In the end, the confusion with the orders was disappointing and left me questioning the menu consistency.
Despite these hiccups, the atmosphere at A&W was pleasant, and the young staff members were polite. I'd suggest some improvements in communication and menu clarity to enhance the overall dining experience.

Read moreAfter a year of frequenting this location I've come to agree with 90 percent of the bad reviews. I don't know what management is doing.. but this ain't it.
Today was the tipping point. Walked in, waited a few minutes, then had my opportunity to order. Started off for my boy, then myself. Asked for 2 buddy burgers, plain. And a papa w cheese meal.
Fellow didn't ask me for a flavour, didn't worry as I'm standing here in store, they likely will just ask when it's time to fill it.. I naively thought.
Neither were entered correctly, and then when I asked to correct this, young guy at the counter proceeded to overcharge me for the meal upgrade by punching in a drink and fry alone, rather than the initial ticket price that the papa cheese meal costs.
The whole reason there is a meal combo is because you save on the 3 items as a combo!! Not so I can re order it after for more money!
Now for the buddy burgers, I asked for plain.. and got the most saucy slippery buns I ever have had laid my hands on. There was more Mayo, fried onions, mustard and ketchup than there was the actual retail space on the buns and meat combined. It was oozing sauce. Not exactly plain.
I'd rather talk to a robot than order through this kid again, and...
