DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!I have lived out here for almost 8 years every time I pass this restaurant it would be empty. I finally went in there, even though I read the reviews, which most were horrible. I still wanted to give them a chance I walked in. It wasn’t very inviting and then I spoke to the cashier asked if the food was made fresh, she said she didn’t understand me so she got the owner. I asked the owner if they just reheat food or if it’s made fresh he said yes everything is fresh made to order, I said is your chow mein Cantonese style he said yes I said do I pay now or after he said we’re a restaurant have a seat. I sat down. I ordered the lunch chicken chow mein with sweet-and-sour pork and spring rolls. I will say the portions are big, but when the food is disgusting, it doesn’t matter. It was not Cantonese style chow mein. The chow mein was dry felt like he placed it in the microwave, also two tiny pieces of chicken! The sweet-and-sour pork when I bit into it, It was a very, very dark brown, and the spring rolls were overcooked. I had one bite of the chow mein. I waved down the waitress, explained everything to her. Then She Was talking to the owner, so I stood up and I went towards him in a respectful polite way I explained to him my concerns. He was not happy with me. He raised his voice and was telling me to leave his store. He repeated get out get out and pointed at the door, flailing his arms, even though I was respectful and explained my concerns, he didn’t care very rude people. I don’t know how they are still in business. Do not go here if you want fresh cooked food! They give you old food and I bet they just put my plate in the back for the next person because that’s what my plate tasted like. NEVER AGAIN BELIEVE REVIEWS that’s what this is for, to warn people! Rant over thank you...
Read moreI heard this place was under new management, they even added some Korean dishes; I was excited to try it. Let's just say the particular food I ordered, and the experience itself was appalling.
I am Korean myself. When I heard the owners talking in Korean, I thought it would be nice to interact in our native language. However, they completely brushed it off and spoke in English. Okay, I guess they just wanted to be professional.
While I was waiting for my order, of white jjam bbong and ja jang myun, another customer came in for a take out order - she was offered complimentary fortune cookies and treated a lot more friendly than I was. Maybe because I looked young? Regardless, you shouldn't be in the food service if you're going to discriminate against your customers.
The noodles themselves were obviously pre-packaged, and I've had instant noodles that tasted better. The ja jang myun consisted of onions and 4 or five tiny beef pieces. Really? No wonder it was only $8. Not to mention, it came with ZERO sides, for example -- yellow daikon; it really compliments the dish and it comes in every restaurant that serves ja jang myun. The white jjam bbong had the same horrid noodles, and even better the seafood that came in the soup were not so stellar. Big clear veins in one shrimp. The mussel wasn't fresh at all.
Basically, if you're inexperienced with what is fresh and what is not, you may think the noodles here taste good, but it really is not when you've experienced better.
Utterly disappointing, and I will be waiting for new owners to take over. Hopefully, turn the place into something...
Read moreOrdered on ubereats and live somewhat close so it arrived hot which was nice. The wonton soup was decent, good flavour on the broth, the wonton noodles were a little undercooked but I don’t mind it like that. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. I wish I had looked up the reviews before ordering. Like others have said, the sweet and sour pork had an odd flavour, was it 5 spice? Ginger? Not what you would expect. The quality of the meat was not good and it was overcooked and dried out. Had exactly 1 wedge of pineapple.
The chicken chow mein was hands down the worst chow mein I’ve ever had in my life. It makes me nauseous even thinking about it, it was actually that gross. First, there was barely any chicken actually in it, maybe 3 tiny dried out pieces the size of a dime. The rest was just a blob of ridiculously overcooked, mushy, bland noodles that were cut up into tiny pieces.
The spring rolls were super super greasy with barely any filling and bland too.
I was excited to have leftovers for a couple days but instead I’m throwing out 90% of the meal it was that bad. I’m absolutely shocked they charge the prices they do. Definitely won’t be...
