Marion's Eatery — Restaurant in City of Lacombe

Went for lunch, on a Thursday. The place was busy with over 30 people. Enjoying meals.

My meal selection was the Lasagna so I could compare it to other locations in Lacombe.

The lasagna was scratch made sauce with healthy portion on cheese. You could taste the homemade quality which was not over powering on any way, it had more flavor then The Boston Pizza and was better then the Steak house. But Letos in Lacombe has more depth in flavor.

The portion size was very large much larger then all other locations.

Cost for a full portion $16.00 approximately

I looked around to see what the large crowd was eating and the club house sandwich looked amazing and also the Homemade Burgers look great. Both served with large order of fries. There was no waisted food on plates which indicated on visual that food was enjoyable to many.

Decore is dated but clean. Menu indicated Sunday Brunch Buffet which would be the only location with buffet in Lacombe on the weekend.

The breakfast items were good. My husband got the Marion's Skillet one and I got the waffle. They served 4 tiny strawberry quarters , butter, and syrup with the waffle. I asked for whipping cream and they had it. My bacon tasted good. I eat slow so I took my eggs and other pieces of bacon to go. My husband is a bigger guy and the skillet one filled him up. He liked it. We also got butter chicken poutine. It wasn't butter chicken. It was a red East Indian tasting sauce with no chicken. It was still pretty good. Our friend got the Philly steak and cheese sandwich. It was a fried piece of burnt lunch meat with red pepper in it and burnt onions. It was processed cheese. The bun was really poor quality. She would rate it a 1. Overall the food is hit and miss at this restaurant. It was quiet and quaint,...

The food was good, but the service was less than enjoyable. I have never been to a business where you are treated like you are a nuisance and the day I went there, it seems everyone in the restaurant was also being treated like this. From my understanding, they were short staffed and the restaurant was packed, but I would still expect to be treated better than this. When customers were showing up, both servers would sigh or roll their eyes and tell the customer to go sit at a table (they wouldn't walk you over to the table, they would just point across the room). One server and the cook seemed to have very poor hygiene and dirty clothes. When the cook came out of the kitchen coughing and in his dirty clothing, I overheard other customers comment on his appearance and they walked out before ordering...
