Always in search for street food from home, away from home, our search has ended here. We tried three dishes, and bang! 1. Aaloo Chaat: The famous aaloo Chaat from the streets of Delhi has been recreated here, and your craving can be fulfilled! Did not expect crunch to be found in all those chutneys, and it was there!! 2. Dahi Ke Sholey: I loved this one! Cooked to perfection, the crispy outside and the yummy gooey inside, packed with flavour with that awesome chutney will be had again and again! 3. Veg steamed momos: If you eat spicy, these are for you. Freshly steamed, unlike many places which sell momos which have that rubbery skin, these were delicate! It was a delight to have visited here. Everything was freshly prepared, nothing frozen was used (as ensured by the owner). They do not have a done in place you'd fancy, but if you are a sucker for sitting in your cars and eating (like back home) or sitting on some benches and dining (like we did), then this is the place. Or order at home 🤩

Here's the revised review: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ After five years of searching for authentic street food in lower mainland Vancouver , I finally found a gem in Langley—Hunger Strike. This place is an absolute delight for anyone craving genuine flavors. The momos are perfectly crafted, bursting with flavor in every bite. The mutton keema pav is an absolute must-try—rich, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. And the rumali roti? Soft, delicate, and the perfect accompaniment to their flavorful dishes. Hunger Strike has nailed the essence of street food, and I can't recommend it enough. If you're in Langley and appreciate authentic street cuisine, this is the place to be!

It's a takeaway only joint and the setup is a shared cloud kitchen. There are a few benches outside in the parking lot, but that's not a dine-in thing. Food sometimes are good, sometimes not. Not dependable when you want them to. Okay to try a couple of times. But smokey chicken tikka is definitely not what you would expect!! It's thin sliced chicken in semi-gravy!! Don't be swayed with their ratings. Doesn't seem reasonable to me. And always check the food after pickup, right there before heading home to avoid surprises 😛

I recently visited Hunger Strike, and I was absolutely blown away! The flavors, textures, and creativity in every dish left me wanting more. Here’s what I tried:

Keema Pav A classic done to perfection! The keema was rich, spicy, and full of flavor, while the buttery pav was soft and fresh.

Smokey Chicken Rumali Roti Roll This roll was a showstopper! The smokiness of the tender chicken combined beautifully with the thin, soft rumali roti.

Indian-Style Spring Rolls These crispy spring rolls were a delightful fusion of Indian flavors and a beloved snack. The crunchy exterior paired perfectly with the spicy and tangy filling.

Kurkure Chicken Momos These momos were the highlight of the meal! The crispy kurkure coating added an amazing texture, and the juicy, flavorful chicken filling was a perfect match. Paired with a spicy chutney, they were simply irresistible.

Chicken Kathi Roll A classic, hearty kathi roll with tender, well-seasoned chicken wrapped in a flaky paratha. The tangy chutney and minced chicken added layers of flavor that made this roll unforgettable.

Overall: Hunger Strike exceeded all my expectations. From bold flavors to creative twists, every dish was a delight. To finish off this incredible meal, I tried their rose-flavored kheer, and it was the perfect dessert. Creamy, aromatic, and delicately sweet with a hint of rose, it was a refreshing way to round off the meal.

If you’re looking for delicious and innovative comfort food, this is the place to be!...

If you're craving authentic, soul-satisfying momos in Canada — THIS is the place. I genuinely don’t even have words to explain how happy and nostalgic I feel every time I eat from here. These are hands down the BESTEST BESTEST BESTEST MOMOS in Canada, no exaggeration! The taste instantly takes me back to the bustling streets of Delhi — it’s like a hug from home in every bite. I order from here almost every 10 days, and honestly, even though I find it slightly on the expensive side, it’s SO worth it. The flavor, the freshness, the spice — everything is just perfect. Today I couldn’t stop myself — I’m literally in the middle of eating right now and writing this because it’s that good. Every single time I eat from here, I think “I should leave a review” but I get too lost in the food. Not today! Today the flavors demanded to be appreciated! I’ve even waited outside for it to open — like today — and let me tell you, the wait is always worth it. Their timing feels like back in India, open late, and super convenient for those momo cravings that hit any time. I’m seriously in LOVE with this place. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. If you haven’t tried this yet — you’re truly missing out. Thank you for existing and bringing this level of joy to my taste buds every...

Finished a workout and in Langley, this is the only place open besides fast food and dennys, so i took a chance, despite being ambivalent on Indian food because I am not good with spicy food, makes me feel ill.

Ordered the butter chicken. I tell him straight up I am not good with spicy food and asked for as mild as possible. Apparently everything in the menu would be "a little spicy, ill make it sweeter for you. " ok, sure then. If its very mild, I'll make it through ok.

Get the food, got home, still SUPER spicy. Had a hard time getting through it without lots of water by my side. Wasn't happy. Wouldn't have finished if I wasn't starving/out of options for other food at this time. Stomach doesn't feel good now. Shame, cause the sauce itself, rice, onions, and chicken were all nicely cooked. But it was WAY too hot.

This place needs a mild/non spicy option for people who can't tolerate heat like myself well. Just any 1 or 2 items. Or at least make the food not spicy/barely spicy if requested. I know its Indian food, but just an option...
