Vegetarian Delite Bakery — Restaurant in Surrey

Never knew this existed! Glad me and my friends explored.

We are from Vancouver to enjoy CastleFunPark and just had dinner. We were looking for a dessert place and found this vegetarian place. We were disappointed because we thought it was an upscale cake shop, but it's just a local bakery. We just gave it a shot and ate their cake anyway.

Their cake is good! Not very sweet so I want to eat it more! We tried all 3 that were available (as on the picture). Chocolate, Fruit, and Strawberry cake. Personal is that I love moist cake, so that's the only thing I can say about the taste. Texture wise is that it's a layered sponge cake. My friends also had piece of all 3 and they liked it.

Next was their biscuit. They had the long ones which I don't know the name but the owner let us try them. My friend loved it so much that the owner gave him a few more to enjoy haha! I wanted to buy them but we had too many already that we bought.

We bought the cinnamon buns and they were good. We bought their interesting flavoured chips. Apparently, only in India you can find these flavours: Macho Chili and Cheese Masala. Also got brown bread and their paneer and masala pastries. It tastes like the one in restaurants but cheaper!!!! I wish they had this bite size treats in Vancouver.

They also do pizza. We were also give a free slice for taste. And it tasted like Pizza Garden in Vancouver, which is btw one of the best tasting pizza. Not like fresh slice or any sloppy cheap pizza place here in Vancouver. Legit tastes good.

Owner did not smile but was very gracious to us out-of-towners. Such an awkward feelig. We were chinese asians and peruvian in an east indian asian setting lol! Way off from what we usually are found in. But the owner was willing to explain and give us treats like we were kids!!!!! He kept giving us free bites to taste :D if that's not being a good example of how to be a good host then I dont know what is.

We were sooooo happy we ended the night at this place to hang out. We will come back here for sure or bring more friends to see this place.

First of all why there is no negative or zero rating to this. I usually don’t post reviews at all but this one is so so bad I couldn’t resist without posting the review. I ordered the cake for my husband’s birthday and they gave me the reference pictures and selected one and told them to make it light green in colour with mango flavour with ballls on top and mangoes on top. Before that I would also mention there bad customer service which they disconnect the calls so many time and when they pick up they take at least 5-6 hours to take the order which was so frustrating. I only ordered because I had only one day and needed eggless cake. Ok when I went to take the preordered cake. It took them 30 minutes to get them the cake to me because they were I don’t know decorating or what. When they got the cake it looked so cheap and mangoes were literally looking so slimy and not fresh. I thought maybe the taste will be good. It was the worst cake I had tasted with the bread so dry, too sweet and the main thing it was danger to eat. The balls they kept were of fondant and inside it was thermacol and plastic. There was a kid, we had to stop him from eating that, if we want we can literally complaint about them to food safety agency. Worst experience of my life.
