Manohar Vegetarian Bakery — Restaurant in Surrey

This business don’t know how to do customer service. I called this place to know if patties are available, as everytime i go they say we are out of patties. When i asked on call patties are available, i asked how many you have, he said i can’t tell how many i have right now, i might have 100 but will get sold in next few minutes. He was like it’s a weird question i am asking? Then i asked him politely ok can i place a pickup order for 10 patties, he was like no we can’t hold patties, you can come and see if they are available. Awful. I went there asked them for patties, they said 10 to 15 minutes wait, i was like ok take a payment and i will come back as i have to pick some other stuff. He was like i don’t take payment like this beforehand. Fine, i came back after 20 minutes and he stopped serving his customers and came at the back of the line shouted on me, where was you, i told u 10 15 minutes, you came late it doesn’t work like that. I was like i asked you for payment, i was going to come i didn’t ran away. He was like:- nhi nhi eda ni hunda ethe wait kro, hun jayeo na 5 minute hor wait kro, asi ni krde hold patties. I was like r u ok uncle? I am paying for it and you are talking to me as if i left the food and went away? Not respect for customers and zero customer service. If you are owner please please use soft tone for your customers 🙏🏼. Everyone pay for it. Anyways at the end we got patties half burnt from inside and literally just named alloo patties with no alloo. Don't go to this store. Worst customer service ever. I just went to this store to buy and cake for my son's birthday. They had few pre made in the display and it was one I liked. It had happy birthday written on it and just below that something was scraped off. Girl on the front counter told me that it was a cancelled order and they removed the name from it. A guy walked from the back and said they did this on purpose and the girl doesn't know anything. I knew he was lying so I changed my mind and picked different cake. It was dark forest chocolate cake and he suggest brown wording will look better and I agreed to that. He took it back and came with bright red wording, his explanation was they ran out of brown color. The handwriting was so smudgy that it was hard to read what was written on it, I five year old can write better than that. When I said it looks horrible he replied, "either take it as is or just leave". When I said that not the best customer service when somebody is paying you for this, his answer was " I don't care". I just walked away from there and went to different bakery store in King George and 73 called Veneto's Cakes. I got the exact same cake for $22 where they were charging $29 and with better handwriting and customer service. I would not recommend this business to anyone. A Call for Improvement

We traveled a long way across the border with excitement to enjoy authentic Indian vegetarian food. Manohar has always been a place we’ve looked forward to visiting, but our recent experiences have fallen short of our expectations.

While the prices have risen, and the costs weren’t clearly displayed, we initially overlooked this because we had such fond memories of their offerings. However, on this visit, we encountered a few concerns. Upon cutting into one of the pistachio pastries, I found a medium-sized hair, which was unexpected and concerning. While we trust the staff takes hygiene seriously, it raised some questions about whether proper precautions, such as hairnets and gloves, are consistently being followed in the kitchen.

In addition, the jaggery biscuits we used to love were soft and lacked the signature flavor that once made them so special. The mixed achar, which used to be unique, tasted similar to more affordable brands, yet it was priced at over $15.

My intention isn’t to dissuade others from visiting, but rather to encourage the management to take this feedback as an opportunity to restore the quality that once set them apart.
