Shagun Sweets — Restaurant in Surrey

We went there for dine-in today. Firstly, we were standing with our vaccination cards and front desk girl was standing and waiting for the food from kitchen. She noticed few times that we are standing but she didn’t speak a single word no greets no welcome. Owners were also there and one lady was watching movie on phone and one was talking over phone they also saw us that we were there for dine-in. We left the place after 10 mins when no one attended us even though whole tables were vacant no customer was there. When we were leaving they didn’t even tell us to stop. The worst customer service I have ever received. If you guys don’t want to serve the customers why are you open? I don’t know how you handle busy time when you’re not able to greet two person. I think I'm the only white person I've ever seen in there. This fact alone nearly guarantees great food. I get the lunch special when I am working in the area. I always ask them "what is the lunch special today"? I don't really know what they're saying so I just say "ok I'll have that". Whatever it is, it's good. My favorite is the Baingan Bharta (Thursday special). I call it Bangin' Bertha. lol

I don't know how the sweets are as I do not like sweets. But I am told by my brown wife that they are not...

I ordered the meal with palak paneer which was absolutely tasteless and bland. Verka's frozen palak paneer tastes better than this. I ordered a plate of karelas which had a TON of unnecessary spices and SO much oil... The container was floating with oil, not even exaggerating. Other than that, I got jalebis with the order as a part of skip the dishes deal, which weren't terrible but weren't any good either... Didn't have any syrup tho... Totally hard and stiff. The chapatis were the only thing well...
