If pubs had royalty, Rendezvous Pub in Langley would be the crown jewel — and Marissa, Jeff, and Emma its reigning monarchs.
Stepping into Rendezvous isn’t just a night out — it’s a full-blown experience, a ritual, a guaranteed reset button to the mundane. The ambiance? Electric. The crowd? Always buzzing. The food and drinks? Impeccable, like the chef whispered secrets to the gods. But let’s be real — the true soul of this pub lives behind the bar.
Marissa? A tornado of charm and efficiency. Weekends become magic under her watch. No matter how packed the place gets — and trust me, it gets shoulder-to-shoulder — she’s gliding through the chaos like a mixologist ballerina. Drinks in hand before you even realize you’re thirsty, all served with a smile that makes you forget the outside world even exists.
And then there's Jeff — the Weekday Warlock. One man. All the poise. No panic. He's running the bar like he’s conducting a symphony — tapping kegs, mixing drinks, dropping jokes, and still managing to know everyone’s name. Watching him work is like watching John Wick bartend — precise, fast, and absurdly smooth.
Emma deserves her own paragraph. She’s not just serving — she’s reading minds. Already bringing your favorite before you ask, dropping by even when she’s not your server, checking on your table like it’s her personal mission. Emma doesn’t serve tables — she builds loyalty.
Rendezvous isn’t just our go-to — it’s our gold standard. Where the staff doesn’t just work — they perform, they elevate, they connect. Every visit is a reminder that service can still be an art form, and here, it absolutely is.
Cheers to the dream team. If there’s a Hall of Fame for pubs, this place is first ballot.

Read moreOur favourite pub closed down during the pandemic so we were looking for a new spot. We saw some friends post about Rendevous so we decided to give it a try.
I am not sure what some other reviewers are mentioning regarding covid precautions as when we got there, there was a sign at the door asking to wait to be seated. There was clear signage on the door regarding all the safety requirements and the first thing the hostess asked for was a passport. Every server was wearing a mask and tables were well spaced. There was hand sanitizer available at the door and we felt very safe.
Food: We got there for "appy hour" which is between 3 - 6 PM where a selection of appies are on special for $8.00 each. Import beer (Heineken, Guinness and Strongbow) was also on special for about $6.50 a pint. We had the chili chicken, artichoke dip, potato skins and poutine (poutine was not on special). Oh my word, it was all so indulgent and so, so, so good. Not fancy, but exactly what we were after.
Staff: The servers were so friendly and absolutely working so hard. We could tell there was a nice community feel about the place as people were chatting across tables and there were multiple TVs showing various sporting things ;). We had a lovely evening and will...
Read moreNew owners/management over the last few months and while they’re trying to do so many things, they’re missing the important things. One thing that is perfect is the beer is always cold so no complaints!! While I’m sure people love all the theme nights and special party nights, what we really want is quality food. Clean working washrooms would be nice 🤷🏻♀️. The food here is average at best yet they have what is most likely paid people come take photos of the not very good food and then post these fake reviews all over. If you’ve eaten there you know, it’s not instagram post worthy food that’s for sure. That along with the many many 5 star reviews magically over the last few months with no comments is a little suspicious. This pub could be GREAT!! The management and most the waitresses are awesome, They just have to fix that menu up, fix those horrible broken tv’s after all it’s a sport bar they say (watching ufc and football on a green tv is not fun) and let’s spend some time on the bathrooms. Maybe start by hanging a toilet paper holder vs the screw most of hang off to begin with? Regardless of the food, when you need a crisp cold beer....
