We had the pleasure of eating at the Georgian Bay Family Restaurant where the portion sizes are as big as the phenomenal personalities. We were pleased to see that current protocols in place were being adhered to, although it took us a minute to find all of our passes🤣. We realized it was a good place to enjoy our last meal in the Blue Mountain area when two older ladies, who had to have been loyal and regular patrons, seemed more than eager to get in. We we promptly seated and greeted by our waitresses Katie and Miss Leah. Now, if you are lucky, it would be your privilege to be served by Miss Leah. She is bursting with bubbly personality and professionalism. Katie, Leah, and Cindy made sure that our menus were immediately given, our drink orders were taken and cutlery was provided. Once our orders were taken, we were giving realistic timelines for food delivery which we appreciated. We felt prioritzed, although I do not doubt that each customer did. The Hungry Man special, the Breaded Shrimp, the Fruit Explosion Pancakes, the kids egg and sausage, the kids spaghetti, and the Poutine were all delicious. Again, the portion sizes guarantee no matter how big your appetite may be that each customer leaves full. We had eaten poutine elsewhere while on the trip and the Georgian Bay Poutine was a hit with us especially. The Heart of the House team Soula (owner) and Leftevrs (*hoping that I can edit with correct spelling as I am almost positive I did not spell this correctly 🤦🏽‍♀️) did a wonderful job preparing the meals. We loved that once we stepped inside of the restaurant it had a totally different feel. It had this cute chic grey and white feel. It was decently clean and provided space for families to sit apart. The entire team was efficient. They worked together and ensured that proper table touches were taking place. They checked satisfaction level of customers throughout the entire dining experience. They responded to all of our needs like true customer service professionals. If you are ever in the area, you should definitely pay them a visit. To the entire team including Katie, Tracie, Soula, Leftevrs, Cindy, and our favourite of them all Miss Leah you all are doing an excellent job. Until next time, may you all conyinue to...

Just had the worst experience this afternoon. The owner lady is very nice, but the wait stuffs are terrible. Out waitress is the most passive aggressive person I have ever met. We arrived around 1:30pm, just a quick lunch and drink before picking up kids from summer camp. Place doesn't look very busy, and we asked to sit outside, and was told to grab a menu and get a table ourselves. When the waitress came, I asked what kind of beer they have since they have no drink menu, she said " oh, we have everything", so I asked for Stella, then she said " we don't have that", I asked for "Mill st organic", and she half laughingly said " oh, we only carry the local stuff" , then I went ahead and ordered a creemore lager, and kindly asked her to bring a cloth to wipe the table since there are some sauce stain in the middle. 10 minutes went by, she finally arrived with the drinks(husband ordered coffee, since he will be driving), not the one I ordered, apparently they don't have it after she said they do. Forgot the wipe, so when she came back with a cloth, filled with attitude, she said " you can just pick another table". Husband and I didn't have a lot of time, so we just ordered fast. A pound of wings and a burger with fries. We sat at the table the next 45 minutes, no one came to tell us when the food will be here nor if we are going to need more drinks, husband went in and ask if food will be soon, the lady at the bar said "why are you asking me, I have no idea". At that point, we decided to leave. As soon as we told the waitresses we would like the bill for the drinks, they all said the food were almost ready, if we leave, food will be tossed and waste. But we were there for a hour at this point and ran out of time to eat. The waitress started accusingly said that we are going to waste food, we should at least grab them as take out. And she can not change the bill , and must speak to the owner. The owner was nice and friendly, and insisted us taking the food for free even as we said no. Was quite looking forward to try this local place, neighbors actually recommended this, sad this wasn't what we expected. Not sure we will be back, the wait stuffs this afternoon were very...

I love this restaurant and have been for lunch many times. The service is always friendly, efficient and timely. I have recommended it to friends several times. Friday I was invited to lunch by a friend and I suggested here. It was fairly full so I suggested the back room which had only two tables taken and we sat against the wall. The waitress gave us our menus and took our drink order just milk and pop and went off. I know everyone was busy and we were enjoying chatting but after we gave our order we never saw her again. There were three different other waitresses working in there and as more people filled up the vacant tables, our order did not arrive. After I started noticing others who arrived after us and were eating I asked another waitress if she knew anything about our order. She didn’t but went to check and said my grilled cheese and chips were sitting there waiting for my friends order. She brought our plates out and suggested my chips were cold so returned them and had them heated. The plate she returned and handed to me was HOT,. My friends steak sandwich was chewy and cold and he needed to take it apart to cut into it. What a terrible mess and my favourite sweet potatoe fries were nothing like I have ever received. When we had barely begun to eat miraculously our waitress asked us if we wanted the bill and I told her no. That was a mistake I guess, when the whole room was empty except for us she came with the bill and told me she had been told to not charge us for our drinks and I laughed. I think I offended her. No apology from her at all and away she went in her little half apron of brown and black. I Know It Was Busy. But no excuse for us having to wait longer than other tables that arrived and left long before us. I don’t know what happened and would have loved an explanation. Oh and yes we order delivery at least once a month if not more for dinner for six and just love the Greek salad. We have been having large family dinners from your...

Fantastic Little Family Restaurant with a chic, beautiful and modern renovation! Today my husband and i ordered a skillet Meat and cheese and the eggs Benedict with Bacon and for drinks a coffee and a sprite. Both food plates were sooooo Delicous wow! (I wish they had put some caramelized onions in the eggs benedicts tho, it would of add a little +1 yum to the plate ^_^) But i loved what i had, dont get me wrong here! heh! It was soo delicious! I tasted my husband’s food, the Meat and Cheese plate and oh my! It was also soo delicious! The coffee was great and the sprite of my husband was cold! Yay! We even shared some of our food with our 3 years old son for him to eat because our plates portions were enormous! Which I am not mad at all at!! The serving Lady was very friendly, kind and her smile as well as her talking was contageous! 😀 she did an absolute great job! She treated our 3 yrs old son like a little prince as giving him his own plate as he ate with us from our plates as our food portions were so enormous, she also let him have his own little menu to imitate us lol…Which was soo cute and amusing for him and from her. She shared with us that she also has a son of our son’s age which made our first time eating there with our son more comfortable! Her service was impeccable! Thank you so much!! The prices were affordable and WORTH the « FRESH MADE FOOD »! I will go back for sure!

We found that the wait time was a bit long. I mean it's breakfast, that should come out relatively fast. We ordered a simple breakfast, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancake. The food was okay. my husband ordered the hungry man breakfast, his bacon was very overcooked (burnt), so they replaced that right away. He asked for his potatoes to be well done and those were not. I found the potatoes to be extremely soft as if they'd been boiled. I liked the rest of my breakfast and the pancakes were tasty. Coffee was included, however, I enjoy strong coffee and it tasted water down to me. Our server was nice and attentive. She checked on us on the regular and refilled coffee in a timely fashion. One thing we noticed was that the tables were not cleared off right away. Could be due to them having been understaffed possibly? During the time we were seated, the tables next to us were not cleared off for 20+ mins. There was a young lady behind the counter who seemed to be doing things that could have waited (i.e. rolling forks and knives into napkins). Priority should be to clear the tables and then resume with other tasks. My review is based on a combination of food quality, service and atmosphere overall. The
