UPDATE:
I had to respond to the comedic unprofessional response I got from the "owner." Rude staff and based on your reviews it seems I'm not alone!
Was trying not the be so blunt, however I'll reciprocate the favour. There was long lineup next the the counter, some of us lined up, as the others sad down. We move two chairs closer to seat our group of six- I believe that's what you're referring to as "moving furniture." Sad to hear that this is the owner who treated us this way. Again, it was busy, no staff greeted us and we missed a small sign- she could've addressed us politely.
The group of people in front of us sat themselves, we followed and did the same and were ridiculed for it but not them
She came at us aggressively yelling we can't move the chairs and she doesn't seat large parties "like us." We apologized and sat at two different tables. You could've imagined how awkward it was being yelled at in front of the entire cafe, she was clearly trying to create a spectacle. Two lovely ladies sitting next to us even offered their chairs too.
Of course with a bad taste in our mouth, my sister didn't order anything. Yet the rest of us did order a food/drinks. The woman brought out our food and had the nerve to yell "NOT ALL OF YOU ARE EATING?!" And walked away.
In Toronto, a cafe you normally purchase your food then have a seat. Thought it was the same here, if you're travelling from the city DON'T visit this place, unless you look like a local!
To top it off we went to dinner later that evening and were recognized by several people saying "Oh hey! You were the ladies from this morning at the cafe" how embarrassing!
Was visiting a spa in the neighbourhood and this was highly requested however it did not live up to that expectation. An extremely rude elderly woman was not pleasant, she made it very apparent to address us in front of the entire cafe. We weren't sure if we would line up to order or sit down. Unfortunately we missed the small sign at the front. However, we could've been greeted differently. Clearly if you are from out of town you are not welcomed or treated the same as their "regulars." Sad to say I wouldn't visit this cafe again, after the...
Read moreUpdated review 2025 We stopped at Heavenly Café in Collingwood and was really impressed by how warm and inviting the space felt right away. The drinks were the standout — the mocha latte was rich and smooth with just the right balance of chocolate and espresso, while the pumpkin spice latte had that cozy autumn flavor without being overly sweet. Both were beautifully made and comforting.
On the food side, the egg croissant with cheddar cheese was excellent — the croissant itself was buttery and flaky, and the cheddar gave it a nice sharpness that paired perfectly with the soft egg. It was hearty without feeling heavy. For a treat, we tried the peanut butter cookie, which was chewy in the center with a satisfying nutty flavor, a great companion to the lattes.
The service was friendly and relaxed, and it felt like the kind of place you could linger with a coffee or grab something quick before heading out to explore downtown. Overall, Heavenly Café lives up to its name — a charming spot with quality drinks, tasty food, and a welcoming vibe.
I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in Collingwood and want a great coffee and café experience.
My first review in 2020 I had the heavenly french toast - essentially a croissant that is french toast! Will definitely go...
Read moreMy sister and I were in collingwood for the weekend and we stopped by yesterday and had an amazing visit. The guy who works there (with glasses and a beanie) was great and very helpful. He answered all our questions and made our drinks exactly how we wanted them. Unfortunately the second time we came, we were served by an older lady with short hair who tried to convince me that the way I wanted my drink made wouldn’t taste good, despite the fact that I had gotten this drink made that way the last time we visited (the day before). I wanted a dirty chai with a shot of caramel and was told that “chai’s are only made with vanilla”. We proceeded to keep asking it to be made how I wanted it (with caramel) and kept being told “I don’t think you’re going to like that”. At that point we decided to not get any drinks and only get baked goods. I have to say this cafe is great and the food is great but just this ONE lady makes me not want to go back into this cafe ever again. It’s one thing to make suggestions to help your customers get a drink they will like and enjoy, and I appreciate that, but when a customer hears your suggestion, says no, and asks for their original order, it’s rude to continue insisting they don’t know what they want or that their drink...
