"An Enthralling Vegan Odyssey at Press Market"
In the heart of Collingwood, Ontario, a destination famed for its cultural vibrancy and charm, there is a beacon of vegan gourmet innovation known as the Press Market. This sanctuary of plant-based cuisine weaves together an atmosphere of elegance, a dedication to environmental responsibility, and a tantalizing menu that takes its patrons on a journey beyond the usual into the realm of the extraordinary.
My foray into this gastronomic haven commenced with the delightful "Kale Me Maybe" smoothie. Housed in a compostable plastic cup, a subtle yet potent testament to the restaurant’s dedication to sustainability, the verdant elixir encapsulated the vivid spirit of nature. The first sip served as a refreshing wake-up call, akin to stepping outside into the crisp dawn of a vibrant spring day. More than a mere source of sustenance, the smoothie was an invitation to a state of revitalized wellness, an echo of the abundant generosity of nature itself.
From the energizing opener, I segued into the comforting embrace of the Press Market's Breakfast Burrito. This edible parcel, swathed in a golden tortilla, emanated an inviting sense of warmth and heartiness, much like the feeling of reuniting with a cherished friend. Each bite was a homage to comfort, instantly transporting me to the leisurely calm of a serene Thursday morning. The harmonious interplay of flavors and textures brought about a sense of fulfillment, akin to sharing a convivial meal amidst the laughter and conversation of loved ones. A subtle undercurrent of heat provided a thrilling element of surprise, infusing the culinary journey with a spark of anticipation and adventurous intrigue.
The environment at Press Market is an extension of the mindful design that is inherent in their cuisine. A serene blend of contemporary minimalism and rustic charm, the ambiance enhances the dining experience, transforming it into a truly immersive sensory journey. Dining at Press Market felt akin to getting lost in an evocative symphony, or being engrossed in a compelling narrative - an experience that touches the soul.
The attentive and warm staff further enriched the experience, with their contagious enthusiasm for vegan cuisine and their genuine hospitality. The positive aura they radiated lingered, resonating even after I had left the confines of the restaurant.
In conclusion, Press Market stands out as more than a vegan eatery - it's a haven where every aspect of the dining experience echoes a profound passion for plant-based gastronomy. It offers a culinary voyage that excites the senses and leaves a lasting impression on the heart. Whether you are a devoted vegan, an aspiring plant-based food enthusiast, or simply curious to explore this dietary path, the Press Market welcomes you with open arms. This profound culinary odyssey, steeped in emotion and depth of flavor, undeniably positions Press Market as a must-visit landmark in the world of...

Plenty of free parking; they will be moving to a newer and bigger location close to the current location where parking will also be free and plentiful.
The current location does not have any inside seating but they do have a small patio area just outside the restaurant.
The inside of the restaurant is beautifully decorated and obviously centered around health. They offer a nice variety of local, handcrafted items to buy as well.
It was obvious from all the customers that this is a well-known and well-loved Eatery.
The menu items looked so delicious it actually made it hard to choose what to eat because we wanted it all!
I settled on the maple bacon Chipotle Burger Trio package which included a healthy drink, kombucha as well as other choices, and magnificently, delicious winter potatoes which were made from sweet potatos, walnuts, cranberries and spices.
My wife ordered the C-Woods Healthiest Harvest bowl. Packed full of veggies and extremely delicious.
We also ordered Kale Me Maybe and Mango-Nificent healthy smoothies. The smoothies are absolutely outstanding! In fact they are almost a meal in itself. The almond milk is made in-house!
All the containers were recyclable and they provided an area where you can deposit your containers in the patio section.
The food was absolutely phenomenal and delicious. We loved our Burger and harvest Bowl and the potatoes. Although it is on the pricey side, it is worth it because of the care the staff take in preparing the food and the ingredients that are fresh and healthy; you get what you pay for. The food portions are generous and very filling. You will not leave hungry; we had to finish our smoothies later that day because we were just too full.
Although we didn't partake, they do have a dessert case filled with wonderful, vegan, and some raw desserts. They looked scrumptious and it appears as though they are made in house too! Next time I'm going to grab something!
We cannot wait for their new location, where they will have in-house dining. We will definitely be...
Read moreDisappointed in our experience today. We tried to visit Press a little over a month ago and waited in line for 10 minutes which was unusual as there was one person ahead of us (with at least 7-8 people in the kitchen area). Needless to say, we ended up leaving because it was taking too long, but thought we would try it out again today. We ordered a smoothie and breakfast sandwich and took our table number back with us. When the smoothie came after 10 minutes, the server could not find our table and we had to wave her down. After another 10 minutes, a breakfast sandwich came out that we figured was ours. I even jokingly said, "I think that's mine" to a different server carrying out the food, with which he responded "this is a breakfast sandwich but it's not yours" (not in a rude way). However, he ended up serving it to a man who had come in after us. After he dropped that off, he then returned to our table and asked me what I was waiting for and realized that the order had been given away incorrectly. This was not his fault and he apologized. He then confirmed my correct order with me and told me it would come ASAP. He did offer to give us a dessert while we waited but we had come in for breakfast so not really desirable. The sandwich eventually came and was good but too spicy. What I find very frustrating about this is that we are prompted to tip when ordering at the counter before any service has been rendered. I gave an 18% tip and basically had a very disappointing experience and there was no offer to refund or comp the meal. As a restaurant who prides itself on "good food and good people", I experienced neither today. Some of the staff seem distracted, are not friendly, and appear...
