Pokerrito — Restaurant in Coquitlam

This is my second time ordering. Ordered premade seafood bowl last time and the amount of salmon and shrimp in the bowl was so small but thought maybe it’s just one time issue.

Ordered large BYOB today, and added extra salmon based on my experience last time. But the amount of total protein I got is equivalent of one or two scoop i get in different poke store. I tried digging through the salad to see if there are more underneath but what you see in the picture is all I got .. :(

I really hate to leave a bad review but for 25 dollars (doordash did offer 25% off happy hour deal so total was 21 dollars) this is not what I would expect to get :( The ingredients were fresh and loved the umami sauce! Would love yo try out pokerrito but I don’t think I will be going back...

Pokerrito was the first place where I tried poke, and it will always stay special for me, so I was excited when the new location opened by my place. I can tell they might not be as busy in Burquitlam as at some other locations, but I hope they stick around as this area is about to get a massive influx of new residents with all the construction around. I have only good things to say about their food. Great choice of ingredients that are always fresh, a solid lineup of sauces and interesting signature bowls. Full disclaimer that all I ever get are custom bowls, but with that said I think this place is great. Generally my problem is how I'm going to mix everything up without spilling it everywhere, which is a great problem to have. I've never felt that they've skimped me on ingredients.

The only downside for me is their drink prices.I realize drinks are a way for businesses to buff up their margins but I'm simply not willing to pay a 300-400% markup on drinks so that is something I never buy there. In fact, that is sometimes a reason I simply choose to go elsewhere. It also certainly doesn' t do them any favors that Coco is right next door. Regardless, this is still a great place to get...
