Max's Place — Restaurant in Cranbrook

This is the second order of Max’s infamous cinnamon buns that I’ve brought home, one the end of April and one today! I get six buns at a time! There’s absolutely no cinnamon on these buns! What a disappointment! I don’t know who’s making these buns, but your products are dismal, at best! I come to Cranbrook to specifically buy your cinnamon buns because they’re usually delicious and there’s no better cinnamon bun to be had in Kimberley! Please check your buns/baker! They are failing terribly at their job! I will give your business one more try and I do hope that when I ask/pay for six (6) cinnamon buns, that’s what I get! If not, I will spreading the word to all my friends! I would like to become a satisfied customer, once again, please!!! When looking at the buns, there was no cinnamon seen, as had been in the past! Today, I will try them again and decide! I also hope that when I order 6-8 buns that they’re put into a box and not shoved into a paper bag, where they’re flattened to half their size!! Please use some common sense when packaging these buns for your customer to take home to enjoy! Many thanks!

I have finally had a few positive experiences with Max’s and their cinnamon buns. The cinnamon is in abundance and is phenomenal! When I get my buns, they’re neatly displayed in a box, for takeout and not merely squashed into a bag! Thank you Max’s for your superb tasty and quality cinnamon buns. A nice place for a tasty quick bite. With all of the choice of coffee places in town, this is one of nicest. The pastries are fresh, the drinks are well prepared and the service is quite appealing. The overall atmosphere is that of a homy cozy place. With it comes the warmth of some home baked treats and some well brewed warm (or iced) drinks, add a touch of friendship and you are all set for an adventure for your taste buds. It can get a little too cozy when it's really busy but it's also a good way to make new friends. We happened upon this bakery while on a business trip to cranbrook and we are so happy we did. They serve our favourite coffee (Kicking Horse) and even sell it by the bag. But the real highlight of this place is the service and the ah-may-zing cinnamon buns with cream cheese icing 😋 👌 😍 quite literally the best cinnamon buns and icing we have ever had, and we went ahead and ordered a dozen that we are picking up fresh tomorrow morning on our way out of town.
