We don’t usually frequent this location when we are going to sit in . I am having mixed feelings right now . Our food came out super quick and fresh and hot , however there were no clean tables to be found , they all had crumbs left behind . Maybe short staffed or it was just super busy before we got there so we just wiped a table with a dry napkin before we sat down . There was what looked to be a manager doing rounds in the restaurant , interacting with the young kids that were there which was amazing to see , and I wish we would see that more , it adds that nice personal touch of you are in a restaurant and they genuinely care how your meal is and want to know . Odd for a fast food chain but definitely nice to see . One thing that really struck me though , was what appeared to be a man sitting tucked on the far side of the restaurant near the bathrooms , to a table all to himself . He didn’t seem to be having a meal or anything but there was a huge odor of marijuana coming from that direction . While we sat and tried to enjoy our meal the smell got stronger and stronger . When we looked over in his direction to see what was going on we could see him trying to hide the fact that he was using a vape pen in the restaurant . If smoking is not allowed in a restaurant how is vaping weed from a pen allowed in the restaurant where you are in a public place ? Is this the new norm we need to deal with ? I’m not against the product he was using in the restaurant because I use it too but common decency says to not do it in a public place because that is a health concern...
Read moreMy wife and I went to this location the other day, and were taken back by how filthy the whole place was. The dinning room was trashed, ketchup all over the self service area, the pop dispenser looked like it has not been cleaned properly for days. Watching them in the back of the house was a whole new experience; watching the cook he cross contaminated his entire work area, no one was wearing a hat, hair net, or gloves. The expediter standing at the end of the counter was literally standing in garbage. I not only lodged an online complaint, but i went back to the location then next day to show the manager the food we received, and explain the importance of what we viewed to their business. The manager was very nice and although i was not there for a credit, she did give me a credit because as she seen for herself the food was not even close to how it was to be made. I don't think the manager was all that interested in my reviews, the impression she gave me was; she just wanted to give me a credit so she could be done with it. As a kitchen manager myself people have to be educated when it comes to hygiene, and how customers views of these infractions are perceived. The owner of this location has invested a great deal of money but I fear if things are not corrected...I usually charge for my advice, I gave this advise for free this time because I have never seen something this bad before. Read moreOkay, just spoke to Manager about this - at 4:50 am I pull up to drive thru, no response to place an order. Even after beeping my horn a few times. Pull up to Drive thru window. Same thing - no response - no sign of anyone... nothing. Drive around the building I spot a young female with pink hair, talking on a cell phone. Ignoring me, or the conversation was just that great? Now, I was concerned because I am of an age I remember the McDonald's in Sydney River Cape Breton, that no longer exists. I spent time enough trying to find a living body in the restaurant, and was about to call the police. When the young person walked thru, turning away, while talking on the phone. I am certain that McDonald's could be more professional - post signs - respond to a bell or horn with apologies you are closed. You don't have to open a door. Talk thru the speaker or window. I was worried, now I am just ticked off. Manager was useless. Will not be going back again. You are only getting 1 star because this will not let me...
