My wife and I were unsure what to eat today after going for a walk in the park and so I checked what was highly rated in the area and noticed almond dosa had 950+ 5* ratings, I was sceptical until I met the kind and honest owner and his family. I was recommended the masala dosa, and it did not disappoint. My wife and I asked Mr. Bhaskar how many should I order and he humbly said try one for now. The flavour of the masala left a pleasant aftertaste and matched perfectly with the coconut water. The sambar soup and the dip and pickle blended harmoniously. It was like an orchestra for the mouth. The ingredients are simple, but the execution was flawless.
I don’t normally write reviews but his note said that instead of giving a tip please write a review and tell your friends. Here’s one more 5* rating but it’s not just for the food. It’s for the people behind the food.
I hope that this favourable review is well appreciated. I will be coming back with my family and friends. What...
Read moreHonestly, a hidden gem in Surrey-Delta! — I can’t stress enough how underrated this place is in the Vancouver area. Yes, it’s inside a mall- food court, but don’t judge it by that. If you’re craving real, down-to-earth South Indian food, this spot should be on your must-try list. Not a usual long menu but, Trust me, once you try their authentic Dosas, you’ll understand why I’m raving about it.
The Dosas here are Huge, Crispy and Delicious, made with Almond Oil. The batter so thick and grainy that smells so good as soon as it hits the hot plate. The Sambar is lite and super fresh with mini idlis floating inside. The coconut chutney is bursting with flavor—definitely not your average, watered-down versions.
But the real standout is the Uncle’s warmth and love from who is the Chef and runs this place, originally from Andhra Pradesh in India. Five stars...
Read moreWaited for more than 10 mins and then the guy rudely says mall is closing and he can't serve. Simply asked him why did he wait that he won't be able to serve and he very rudely said he can't talk to me cos he was busy making dosa. We were standing in front of him, right in front of him. He behaved very very rude. We didn't want to argue much on his behaviour but left. This happened with two of the other customers who were waiting with us. They simply asked him why he was rude. May be his upbringing is rude. Didn't rate the food cos we didn't even get chance to taste the food, hence won't give wrong rating. To the owner - if you are doing business, learn to talk to customers with respect. I could understand if I was rude to the guy first. I simply asked why did he take 10 mins to tell he can't serve anymore. This is...
