White Spot Scott & 72nd — Restaurant in Delta

Update: April 2019 I wrote about a negative experience that I had a few months ago but decided to give it another chance as it was my dad's birthday. We were seated at 6:00 and did not leave until after 8:00! It took about an hour for everyone to get their food. When I received my shrimp sandwich the bread was extremely small! The entire sandwich size was about half a piece of bread. I said everything else was fine but just asked for new bread thinking it would be a quick fix. Everyone else started eating to ensure their meals did not get cold while I waited. It probably took about 20-25 minutes and I still did not have the new sandwich. We asked the server multiple times where the sandwich was. She acknowledged it was taking a long time and finally offered me fries while I waited. The manager finally came over and apologized for the wait and said it would be ready shortly. He brings the sandwich and there is coleslaw on the plate which I specifically mentioned I had allergies and couldn't have the coleslaw when I ordered. I was so hungry at this point after almost an hour and a half...he said he could have a new sandwich made in 40 seconds because they just had to toast new bread...well why did it take so long on the first re-make. The new sandwich definitely took longer than 40 seconds but did come quicker than the first re-make. The table two down from us also sent a meal back twice...Needless to say, I was not impressed with the service/quality from the kitchen, eating alone, and being at white spot for two hours...The manager did take care of the sandwich on the bill but the last few experiences at this location have been nothing but disappointing. I will not be returning.

Original post: We usually have a great time at this White Spot location but tonight was very disappointing. I went out for dinner with my dad and ordered "a bun with lettuce, tomato, and a salmon filet cooked very well done with fries. Nothing else on the bun or plate and specified no sauce of any kind, pickle, and coleslaw" just to make it really clear that was all I wanted. Well after quite a while our food came. Mine was not what I ordered and instead was the salmon burger from the menu which was not what I wanted as it has onions, arugula, and triple o sauce. It was served with a juicy pickle on top and coleslaw with my fries. I immediately sent it back. The server was apologetic and brought me some fries to munch on as I was starving. This was greatly appreciated but I enjoy eating my meal as a whole not as two separate parts. The fries were also cold and extremely oily but I was so hungry that I ate them. They re-made my dinner and it was returned as a bun and a salmon filet that was raw in the middle. I immediately sent that back but now was turned off of the idea of having salmon for dinner and was confident my order would not come out correct after the two attempts so I asked for a menu to order something else. I ordered the shrimp sandwich. It was great but by this time my dad had already finished eating, even though he was eating slowly trying to wait for me and ended up eating half his meal cold. The server was really apologetic but when we got the bill I was charged for the shrimp sandwich! There was no compensation for having to return my meal twice, eating it in two separate parts, and essentially eating by myself as my dad had already finished. Let me preface this review with I think WhiteSpot in general is not good value and is very mediocre at best. With that being said this is one of the worst meals I have ever gotten. Me and my family were looking for breakfast from triple Os (fast food chain) as this is usually very good but unfortunately it was passed its breakfast serving time. However we found out the Actual whitespot restaurant serves breakfast till 3PM. So we go to this location and order to go. We order the usual sunny start burger we get from Triple Os and the usual side of hashbrowns. what we receive is the most pathetic burger I have ever seen. It was as if someone stepped on it with how flat and squished it was. Furthermore it was Luke warm and clearly had been sitting out for several hours. Note we are ordering this at 11:30AM NOT at the very end of the breakfast serving period. The hashbrowns were disgusting and inedible due to also tasting very dry and downright old. The craziest part however is we ordered the EXACT same menu items we get from triple Os (fast food chain). We Paid Significantly MORE money $19 vs the usual $11 and got significantly worse quality food and ingredients, You can literally go to a gas station drive through get the EXACT same menu items and pay LESS money for BETTER quality. Will never be going to a whitespot again after this, that...

Once seated I ordered a glass of rosé. When it came, I had a sip and it was good. I then noticed that there were two piece of dried food stuck to the inside of the glass. The server was great and got me a new glass of wine.

I then ordered the quinoa and cauliflower salad with chicken. When it came I saw that there were no grapes on it. Once the server came back around I asked to see the menu, she then asked if I had questions and I asked if this salad came with grapes and she said she didn't think it did. After looking at the menu I saw it did and she offered to bring me a side of grapes (I also ordered this salad specifically because it had grapes). When I got the grapes I was about to pour them in the salad and noticed there was a piece of plastic in with the grapes.

At the same time my partner ordered a burger with a side salad and the salad had the end of the lettuce. I then ordered the white sangria and it was really tasty but the glass had a huge crack in it that made me nervous to drink out of.

Everything also took very long, the people sitting beside us had to enquire when their food was coming since it took so long, about the same amount of time it took for us to get our food.

The last time I came here, probably about two years ago, I had no problem. But I will not be coming back here again.
