This is a great local pub that has been in the neighbourhood for many years. The staff, food and atmosphere is second to none.
This review is in response to the Band “Under Fire” ( Jeremy) recent review after their gig on October 18th
I personally had a front row seat the this bands antics from the moment they arrived and was disgusted with how they behaved.
The band arrived 2 hours before their scheduled gig while a meat draw was almost finished. This meat draw is a fundraiser run by the pub and many local volunteers that provide for underprivileged families in the neighbourhood with the proceeds donated to Delta Assist, Surrey Food Bank etc. The band arrived and rudely made it very clear to staff, volunteers and patrons that they were not happy with the meat draw taking up some of their space. As soon as the volunteers got up from their table to take a short break the band removed their stuff from one of the tables and piled everything on to one table. They then stacked equipment and tables up against both Keno machines so that patrons could not use them. When staff approached them to let them know that the meat draw would need a little more time they were extremely rude. I have never witnessed a band come in so entitled, unprofessional and extremely rude. They clearly had no respect for the pub or patrons as I personally witnessed the drummer trying to discreetly vape while sitting and setting up his drum set. Mathis band did not need 2 hours to set up, their goal was to set up then relax with their friends who had come to see them play.
In my opinion they were not very good anyway , people may of stayed had they been more friendly and professional however I was one of more then half the bar that left...
Read moreVERY RACIST. A small group of us (my boyfriend my friend and I) arrived at around 9pm (June 6th 2024) at first we decided to sit outside at the table right by the push doors, right away things were off as Tamaira slammed open the door into the chair my boyfriend was sitting in accidentally hitting his back but instead of apologizing she said he needed to move and shouldn’t have sat there. As the night went on we noticed she was constantly sniffling and wiping her nose while talking quickly even messing up one of our drinks but if that was all that happened I would have wrote it off as a bad night and gave her grace but unfortunately I was extremely disappointed in reading my bill and having found the the words “LingLing” to mark our table as my boyfriend and I are both of Asian backgrounds. To add insult to the wound I discovered she added a 18% gratuity to my bill that was under a $100 and less than 6 people. To make things even worse when I had asked about it she aggressively asked if I wanted to fight. I then called the bartender (an older baled man named Darren I believe?) he proceeded to further push the narrative that if the WHOLE table of bill was over $100 then it is policy to charge 18% but I understood the policy as INDIVIDUAL bills being over $100 having automatic gratuity. Either way I had a really disappointing night with the racism and aggression I was subjected to and don’t think I’ll be coming back which is honestly too bad because the food and drinks were really good. Attached is my receipt which includes a table of only 3 people, a bill that was less than $100 dollars AFTER gratuity and our table marked...
Read moreThe King Caesar Review is here! I am here to rate all the Caesar salads world wide … starting at my home in Vancouver. These rating will be heavily based on the Caesar salad it’s self, and not the other food I ordered. I have been eating Caesar salad for the past 20 years and thought it’s about time I get serious about these leafy greens covered in cream sauce. I hope your as excited as I am.
Kennedy’s Pub - North Delta - grandma’s favourite
Dressing: nice creamy/mayo base, good amount too. Not vinegar strong/ anchovy or garlic strong, not homemade
Lettuce: romaine, cold and crisp, regular size chopped
Croutons: packaged
Cheese: questionable? Good amount however sceptical it was mozzarella instead of parm. Still a good amount.
Bacon: none- which is honestly how I prefer my Caesar’s. Bacon seems to over power the sauce and texture (to me)
Side of lemon always appreciated!
Went here for a quick bite before my girlfriends grandma’s service. They were playing the the euro cup and the blue jays with multiple tv’s to choose from and a bunch of men gathered around the main area watch the good ol’ game. The waitress new granny and it was nice to be there and celebrate her life where she loved to go. Also ordered chicken strips which was plenty and good fries. Service was great with perfect timing and a quick bill.
Overall, classic pub vibes (which is always a win), food came at a good pace, salad wasn’t over the top but definitely hit the classic Caesar spot. We will be back Kennedy! For...
