Huntsville Brewhouse — Restaurant in District Municipality of Muskoka

Great atmosphere, awesome food (former Deerhurst chef runs the kitchen) and great beer of course. I liked the Liftlock beer, similar to Coors Light but there is a huge selection of in house beer and also about five 'guest' brands (nice idea). They also have the option to order a tray of four 5oz. beers to try and find your favorite brew.

I ordered the mac n cheese with bacon... delicious, my wife had a pan fried rainbow trout taco and loved it, cooked to perfection.

This pub/restaurant is on a lower level but handicap accessible due to a very considerate owner who included a lift from sidewalk level down the five or six feet to the brewhouse level.

I have to say I really enjoyed the whole overall feel of this pub/restaurant environment and I think it is a HUGE addition to the downtown Huntsville Main Street.

Definitely go and try it, I have no doubts that you will enjoy your experience at the Brewhouse. I would give 6 stars if it were an option!

Support the local business whenever you can! Unfortunately I didn't think of snapping any pictures, I wish I did now...next time for sure.

UPDATE Went again tonight, not as busy when we got there at 5pm but got somewhat busy shortly afterwards. They need to get organized more, growing pains and likely hard to find employees these days. Beer took awhile to get to our table, food sat under heat lamp for 5+ minutes. My $35 steak was supposed to be cooked to medium but it was med rare on the thinner side and very rare on the thicker side, couldn't finish it but it will be good with breakfast tomorrow after we finish cooking it. My wife ordered pulled pork and the top of the bun was warm but not the pork and her fries were just warm.

Not turned off...but hoping they tighten up their team work. I know it isn't easy to have everything work out perfectly all of the time!

I like how they buy as much of their meat, veggies, alcohol and beer (of course) locally.

My husband & I want to start off by giving you all the BIGGEST thank you so much for such a memorable & heightened dining experience at the Brewhouse. You all went absolutely ABOVE & BEYOND. From the multiple back & forth communications via email, in person meeting to pick out & discuss package/menu options, customized dining cards/menus on the night of our reception, the beautiful charcuterie boards when we got there, the top tier service your staff provided to our families, we are truly so thankful we had the honour of being able to be hosted by your establishment for our 38 person wedding reception dinner on September 7, 2024. We were so shocked at the amount of food we had, our families the next morning were raving about all of it. Everything was chefs kiss, I don't even know how to explain how much we were impressed - we knew the food, the service & everything in between would be great but you exceeded our expectations to infinity & beyond. You brought everything to fruition so flawlessly! Your team is the definition of "team work". We will never forget how we got to spend our reception dinner. I hope that you continue to host & offer catering services to more wedding parties!

We called 15 minutes before our arrival and inquired about the wait times for 3 people (it was a Thanksgiving Monday) The staff ensured us we don’t need to book a table and should just come by… and we did so.

We got surprised when the host told us the kitchen was overloaded and we have to wait at the bar for 30 minutes before ordering the food - we were cool with that since the menu looked promising and it looked like a perfect spot after backpacking in Algonquin

We were patiently waiting for 40 minutes, already chose all the dishes, and were ready to treat ourselves after a great trip… I decided to casually asked if the table is ready and server replied without hesitation right away: “it’s 45 MORE minutes before you can order food”

We were shocked and astonished with such situation… so she KNEW we wouldn’t get food for the next 1:15 hours (45 to order and assuming 30 mins to get food) - and she said NOTHING. Not even sorry, she totally didn’t care about the fact she lied to us

The place looks great, I guess they have good beer but this is just awful. Be mindful if they tell you “no need to book” or when they give you estimate about wait times. They may...
