Only Zoey’s — Restaurant in District Municipality of Muskoka

I'm not sure if it's just my experience that was so bad or if people just don't know what good food is.

They tried charging me 36 dollars for my order till I questioned it a couple times and then it was oh. I told you the wrong price it's only 26..

The servings looked fair. Even the fish was a decent size. The small poutine. Also a decent size. Of that. I'm not complaining.

But the taste. The fries both on the poutine and with the fish. There was such a Fowel taste to the fries. It was all pf them too not just one or two I tried some on top some on bottom some from the poutine. All the fries had the same bad taste to it. I'm not sure if it was cleaning chemicals. I'm not sure if it was just dish soap. But they had a major chemical taste to them and it took along long time to get that taste out of my mouth. The food went straight into the trash. Maybe. Maaaaaaaaybe I'll try them again a little later in the year but honestly. This was enough to make sure I never go back.. n I'm local lol. Not a tourist.

Apparently there was a response but I came on to read and reply and it's not here.. if you did get other complaints and you threw them out I came by at 440 in the afternoon. But either way. Review update: i just stopped for more fish and chips on my way back to Toronto. I love fish and chips. Can i just say, Only Zoe’s has one of the best fish and chips from gravenhurst to downtown Toronto. I think they make their own tartar sauce and their coleslaw (i love coleslaw) was yum! Go. Eat. Here!! The owner and her employee were friendly too!

This fish and chips food truck had amazing fish and chips!! The batter was sooo crispy and the fish as well as onion rings fried in the same batter had great flavor and was well seasoned! Their fries were fresh cut fries. The fish and chips come with coleslaw and tartar sauce. I loved both. I would definitely go back and eat more fish and chips! I ordered the 1 piece plus fish which was enough for me. The 2 piece is so tempting though. The atmosphere for what it was (a food truck) was great. To get fresh cut fries at the quality of a fine restaurant is a treat. (Alas, nowadays even the fine restaurants give us frozen fries, don't they? I hate when that happens.)

We so enjoyed our lunch here, and we couldn't have eaten more, but we really wished we'd gotten the poutine also with our order. And that's what we talked about our fish and chips and hotdog lunch on our way home to Mississauga.

Now I'm seeing in the reviews that onion rings are good here, bet you she makes them the real way, so yes, we're definitely going to come back if we're ever in your nook again.
