Whimsical Bakery — Restaurant in District Municipality of Muskoka

Very Disappointing. I have been frequently going to this bakery for some time now. It was originally Schat's and not it is the Whimsical Bakery. It is very close to work and very convenient however since the Whimsical Bakery has taken over from Schat's the quality of product has gone down hill. I have tried several different products as well as others I know and they have consistently been too hard or stale. Today was the last straw. I went in this morning for a coffee but realized I only had $2 on me. The coffee is $1.80 + tax which would work out to be $2.03. she told me $2.05 was the total when I had asked if I could get the coffee for $2 the girl at the counter looked at me like I was an idiot and told me that she couldn't do it as she would be under. Seriously!! 3 cents. so I went else where and based on my several experiences I will not be returning which...

Dropping in to Whimsical Bakery to see what it's like inside was a great idea! Contrary to earlier comments, I found the coffee to be hot and fresh and the staff was great. Although there was a small lineup it was worth the wait. I was impressed by the selection of homemade goodies and even a lunch menu which is a bit different for a bakery. I ordered the grilled cheese and coffee and took a lemon tart and butter tart for the road. I was told they bake their bread fresh every day and that's what they use for their sandwiches - I can't remember the last time I had fresh baked bread - I think that was the secret to the tastiness of the grilled cheese. Will be back next time...

Hugely dissapointed in this place. Asked the price of a pastry and was told a price...ordered 2 and was charged WAY more than the price I was told. When I queried it, they didn’t apologise but just commented that the prices had increased. Sorry.. that isn’t ok.If you work there, you should know the price, if you dont know, then check. I should have gotten them at the price told. Will never return.Also completely...
