In the shopping center of old, with three other restaurants beside it as a storefront that does not differentiate, there's a world of difference when you walk inside. The decor is exceptionally well done, for the most part. Attention to lighting makes one wall's appearance of shapes highly attractive. the boots are beautifully done with black leather and dark brown wood creating shapes and patterns that are quite attractive while the seating in the booths is very roomy - nice surprise. It was a quiet Sunday night until a group of young adults Indian girls, bubbly and charming, screw into a fairly large group says one girl after another came in to meet their friends. A boost near us hello lovely younger couples with the most adorable baby. They also were of Indian descent. right there we have a good vote of confidence for this North Indian restaurant. Our host was proud to say their food was special and they were up North Indian origins and that we would find the food a little different and quite special. Our host was handsome and charming and well-spoken unprofessional. At the cash I noticed a chef in white busy cooking away through the crack of the door. The place was exceptionally clean and the lighting though very decent was still stylized and interesting. I don't know if he realized that over a couple of tables you had a phallic symbol consisting of two balls place I see end of a shaft hanging over the table. The shaft was lit so in the photos it doesn't show but when I looked up I was rather taken back scary. And amused :-) No I've eaten and many types of Indian restaurants from many parts of India that many different styles of cooking. Montreal is wonderful that way and sources Boulevard is full of Indian restaurants at North end. In fact Montreal is a city of food. Food and restaurants and grocery stores and people from all over the world bringing their own cultures and their own tastes. And many of us some other cultures ArcLight experience and enjoy the choices available to us.. the menu book was small in size but very beautifully done and the place was sparkling clean like it was just built moments before and vacuumed, dusted and mopped. What was the food particularly special and very northern Indian? are charming host gifted me with a little salad appetizer in the beginning and as I left and paid the bill also with a gift of 2 Ga'lub-Jumehn... Very charming. And he touched his heart and vowed quite a few times even though he's quite a young man for this older, classic gesture. The salad was lettuce a couple of other things so not very particularly northern India, however the salad dressing, though exceptionally clear, was just so tasty and definitely spicier then your average clear salad dressing. In fact the dressing was delicious so it was all right that's the salad was mostly lettuce... just a little bit... and it was a gift.. so I was immediately torn, but I was also hungry and I was definitely being charmed. They even had a attractive delivery woman who is waiting to fill the thermal containers to send out their food and deliver it to appreciative recipients. He has a 10% discount for takeout. I'm not convinced of authentic North Indian food because french fries even if breaded and seasons and slivers of potato treated the same way I don't think our standards northern Indian food. And I'm not sure that's theirs seafood found in northern India either. And that also has breaded a couple of pieces of something. Add chicken breast was branded as well. I think those were onion rings that were breaded to. So potatoes and onion rings on one place for $10 and some meat as you called it but didn't name it I think it's chicken and I think it was some sort of seafood we're also breaded. I'm not feeling this is authentic North Indian food at all. On the other hand, the breading was beautifully done and the spices were delicious. In fact some of the breading was so fluffy said I was amazed. Can't judge a restaurant by its appetizers but they were very tasty. I will return.....

(Update on response from owner)
Response to owner - Free delivery at midnight? It was 11 :50 PM, the restaurant had closed. I was looking forward to the Indian food and all the Indian restaurants had closed by that time. I had to sleep hungry because of your mistakes. I had told you over the phone that I am travelling to Ontario next morning and won’t be able to pick-up any food in the morning. I am not sure, if the owner expects me to drive back 7 hours from Ontario to get a chicken dish again. The least that you should have offered to any customer was a refund, for your mistakes. I paid for the dish and threw it in the dustbin, because of the restaurant’ mistakes.
If a restaurant can’t deliver the right order to the customers, specifically serving meat to people who are pure vegetarian, they deserve to be highlighted, so that other people don’t suffer. Thank you for showing your arrogance in your response, everyone is smart enough to understand how arrogant can a person be.

The restaurant gave me the wrong dish through takeout. I had driven from Quebec City to Montreal and ordered takeout from this restaurant at about 10:30 PM.
By the time I reached my hotel and opened the dishes, they gave me a chicken dish. Please see attached pictures, I had to throw the dish into the dustbin. That’s $25 in the dustbin for me.
I called the restaurant, they said that I can pick up two Paneer dishes the next day. I was driving to Ontario the next morning and would never come back from Ontario to eat at this place in Montreal.

Read moreThe place is very good-looking they did a great job. The owner is very proud and gave great service. He told me the North Indian food was unique to them and it was very special. When I got was breaded chicken and breaded potato. I wasn't impressed. Then I got the bill I was definitely not impressed cuz it was very expensive for what it was and it wasn't very impressive. All over this street in Montreal, you will find within a 5-minute drive, at least 10 other Indian restaurant. From very cheap 2 as expensive does this guy. But from what I had from him even though it was served beautifully and seems to be prepared very nicely, breaded chicken and breaded potato is a specialty in North India!? No it is not and I mean eating Indian food come all over India and Nepal and Pakistan and everywhere and I cook with Indian spices all the time and I've been eating Indian food for the last 40 or 50 years of my life. I've isn't impressed yes the service was wonderful. Yes it decor is lovely. Yes the menus are attractive. Yes the owner was gracious. did the food stand up and was the price acceptable? For that particular instance the answer is a big no. I would simply go to any of the other 10 places within a 5-minute drive or less including right across the street and I would be much happier. I think they have to do a reality check and look at their markets and who's around them as their competitors. yes gas station on every corner means all the gas stations usually do better business. It doesn't work that way with...
