Phở Thành Restaurant — Restaurant in Dollard-des-Ormeaux

The place is really ordinary in a very ordinary mall and is run by probably a couple and a few staff but don't let the place fool you. It has the tastiest pho that I have ever tasted. I ordered the pho with well-done beef. The beef pieces in the soup are not too fatty, decently cut with nice amount of lean meat and the pieces themselves actually have taste and are extremely well-flavoured. Usually you have to soak them in the pho to get a taste but no, this is the first place where the beef pieces are actually tasty on their own. The only thing is this is the only pho place that serve the pho with the well done beef with tendons but you can ask them to not include tendons if you do not want them and they are able to accommodate you. The portion is extremely generous; its large size is actually equivalent of extra large elsewhere so if you are a big eater with a healthy appetite, you are going to love it there but if you don't like to eat a lot, you are going to have to ask for size small otherwise you will be bagging the rest. The staff is very friendly although is a bit slow so if you are a family with kids that need to go to bed early, it's suggested to go there earlier in the evening like 5:00 PM otherwise you are going to wait a while to get things. We've tried so many phô restaurant but still Phó Thanh Restaurant is our favorite. FYI this is not a fancy restaurant but a welcoming restaurant to spend time with your family and friends and eat good in affordable price. The taste of food they serve here is really authentic and really tasty. The servers are so hospitable mostly Mr. Ken and their cashier lady who are always with their smile 😊 Everytime we come at this restaurant our server always serve us with hot cup of tea which makes this restaurant authentic and the service is always fast. Plus my kids love to come back in this restaurant not only for their favorite pho but also to visit their turtles and fish in the pond😊. I know sometimes the weather in the restaurant is cold but once you got your food served, you'll feel warm instantly. The only thing in this restaurant is that if you are bringing your baby or toddler they don't have changing table so you have to do it in your car or somewhere else but overall I really recommend this...

Better than any fast food restaurants or decent privately owned hamburger and steak place or just as good, is an Asian style of eating and if you like Cambodian and Vietnamese food and this place will do the trick. It's been here for quite a while and it's still open and successful. It's in a hard part of town to do non-stop business but they made it and I was surprised to see them here here is so I gave him a shot again and the food was good. And the price was good. And the service was good. And the cashier lady was sarcastic. And the waitress was charming and very nice. I was glad to eat quickly and leave and have good food at a good price.
